Re: Your attempt to shut down political free speech on the Internet

John McCain, you treasonous bastard, I challenge you or any of your traitorous cohorts to find even one thread, one post, one paragraph, one sentence or even one lousy word posted to this web site that is not fully protected by the First Amendment!

And I will extend that to one chapter, one group, one poster or any group of posters on this forum. Name one assembly, petition, letter, protest, meeting or rally convened, filed, submitted, attended or supported by members of this forum that is not 100% protected and guaranteed as free speech or free assembly by the First Amendment!

Your McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform legislation is a treasonous act. You and your cohorts are attempting to subvert the Constitution of the United States of America, the very same constitution that you swore an oath to defend, so help you God! That makes you a domestic enemy of that great document and a traitor to your country. Yes, and Benedict Arnold was a war hero before he turned traitor too.

How dare you even think that you are qualified to sit in the oval office! Ronald Reagan's office! President? Hah! You miserable excuse for a two-bit political hack, you're not even qualified to shine Ronald Reagan's boots. If you do run, I'm afraid you're gonna be at least one vote short. It'll be a cold day in hell before a traitor like you ever receives my vote. And that's a campaign promise you can take to the bank.

You can take your fascist campaign finance laws and the jackbooted FEC anti-free-speech enforcers you are empowering and put them where the sun don't shine. And if this post is in violation of your unconstitutional law, shove it too!

Paraphrased from In the Face of Evil: Reagan's War in Word and Deed:

The Beast never dies, it simply changes form. The Beast has known many forms: Bolshevism, communism, Nazism, fascism. The Beast has had many names: Lenin, Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Tojo, Mao, Pol Pot.

The Beast cannot co-exist with freedom. The very first freedom lost is the freedom of speech, then religion, knowledge and the arts. Anything that empowers the individual must be destroyed. The state must control all.

Power to the state.

Power as an end to itself.

Those who speak out against the Beast are labeled extremists, radicals, warmongers. Churchill, McCarthy, Reagan.

The Beast must be contained, appeased. We must have "Detente" at any cost. Direct confrontation of the Beast must be avoided.

Appease him and pray the wolf may pass our door.

Free speech must die.

The Beast never dies.

While we're at it, how about land ownership as a prerequisite to sufferage?

Bad idea in the modern era. In the old days, land ownership meant some degree of intelligence and responsibility. Not so today especially with zero down, time shares, condos, REITS, etc. landownership means nothing.

Today, paying income tax for at least 5 years and passing a reading test would probably be better screens.

My utter contempt of this man falls into a category that sometimes frightens me it gives me comfort to find others of like mind.

McCain is probably a better man that 60% of the population. If you have that much contempt, there is something wrong with you. I'd rather have rommney, allen or frist as the next president, but I will not be suicidal if it is mccain either.

I'm surprised that so many at Free Republic didn't know what a POS that McCain is. I'll throw Rudy is that same shit-can with him.

The MSM and the Liberals know they can't get their power back unless they can shut down free speech on the Internet.

McCain knew exactly what he was doing when he teamed with that RAT to pass the CFR bill.

McCain knows he also has too much dirty laundry to get elected if people get a chance to read about the facts.

This isn't about advertising for one campaign or another, its not about even one party over another, its about sharing facts and opinions with anyone that cares to read them.

That is what they want to shut down.

If someone running for office advertises a lie, or half truth, in the MSM, SOMEONE here will catch it and 200,000 FReeper will make sure it gets corrected in the media.

The RATS wanted to prevent the NRA from telling the truth about voting records 60 days before the elections. Now people can read the truth here, thats why they want to shut us down.

Thats only one issue, it works the same with all issues.

PS.. Jim, I stole your words for my tag-line, hope thats OK?

"Looking forward to McCains reply."

For that matter, I'm looking forward to George W. Bush's reply on why he approved this atrocity.

Oh my. If we're getting to go back to the Framer's --- let's go back ALL the way and not just conveniently for you: do away with electing senators by popular vote.

Great! Let's do away with popular election of Senators. I'm all for it.

Your lame duck premise is faulty: it's presumes that they will ALL be rascals if term limited. Not so. GOOD people who have to return to the private sector just might be better officeholders and have an interest in HONOR, DUTY and accountability above personal gain, sweetheart pensions and other perks.

OK. And when we find one of those few good representatives who don't abuse their office during their lame duck session, term limits prohibits us from voting for them to serve another term.

Looking at the inmates from the Kennedy comp... asylum, you have to wonder how bad his sister was, for her to (need?) a lobotomy and not do one on Teddy. Cheating, drinking, speeding, fornicating, killing just to mention a few.

Google the phrase "McCain graduated 894th out of a class of 899". Interesting comments come forth.

McCain may not be the perfect Senator, but he isn't Satan or Hillary.

Not asking anyone to be perfect.

Just thinking maybe they could uphold the Constitution.....

I know..that's just a small thing.

This is unbelievable. McCain KNOWS better- that's part of what is SO infuriating about this. He's turning selling out into an art form.

Hard to believe how much I used to respect and admire this man.

Thanks for the ping.

from wikipedia

When the North Vietnamese discovered he was the son of the Pacific Command Admiral, who was in charge of the US war effort in Vietnam, he was offered a chance to go home, in an effort to embarrass the American military. Senior POWs had ordered there would be no going home unless all went home, and McCain, as did most POWs, followed orders. McCain recorded an anti-American propaganda message, but said he did so as a result of torture.

AHEM!!!!

U.S. Navy pilot John McCain was shot down on his 23rd mission over North Vietnam, October 26, 1967. He was released March 1973 after being held captive by the North Vietnamese for 5-1/2 years.

Days after his release, McCain wrote the following account of his captivity, which was published in U.S. News and World Report - May 14, 1973:
"I think it was on the fourth day [after being shot down] that two guards came in, instead of one. One of them pulled back the blanket to show the other guard my injury. I looked at my knee. It was about the size of a football . . . when I saw it, I said to the guard, 'O.K., get the officer' . . . an officer came in after a few minutes. It was the man that we came to know very well as 'The Bug.' He was a psychotic torturer, one of the worst fiends that we had to deal with. I said, 'O.K., I'll give you military information if you will take me to the hospital.'"

McCain said it was only a coincidence that at the same time he was offering "military information" in exchange for special medical treatment, his captors discovered that his father was Adm. John S. McCain Jr., commander of all U.S. forces in Europe and soon-to-be commander of all U.S. forces in the Pacific, including Vietnam.

After learning about McCain's father, the communists rushed McCain to one of their military hospitals where he received treatment not available for other U.S. prisoners of war.

"Nhan Dan published answers to questions by one of its correspondents made by a U.S. air pirate detained in North Vietnam. "He is Lt. John Sidney McCain . . ."
Hanoi VNA International Service in French - November 9, 1967

"To a question of the correspondent, McCain answered: 'My assignment to the Oriskany, I told myself, was due to serious losses in pilots which were sustained by this aircraft carrier due to its raids over North Vietnam territory and which necessitated replacements. From 10 to 12 pilots were transferred like me from the Forrestal to the Oriskany . . . upon arrival near the target, our formation, with six bombers, would mount the attack according to the following order: I would be number three, and the chief of the formation, number one. Each pilot would have to approach the target from a different direction, the choice of which would be left to him.'"
November 9, 1967 - Department of Defense

"A meeting which will leave its mark on my life: My meeting with John Sidney McCain was certainly one of those meetings which will affect me most profoundly for the rest of my life. I had asked the North Vietnamese authorities to allow me to personally interrogate an American prisoner. They authorized me to do so. When night fell, they took me--without any precautions or mystery--to a hospital near the Gia Lam Airport reserved for the military. (snip) The officer who receives me begins: I ask you not to ask any questions of political nature. If this man replies in a way unfavorable to us, they will not hesitate to speak of "brainwashing" and conclude that we threatened him. (Passage omitted) "This John Sidney McCain is not an ordinary prisoner. His father is none other than Admiral Edmond John McCain, commander in chief of U.S. Naval forces in Europe."
Francois Chalais - January 1968

"Reds Say PW Songbird Is Pilot Son of Admiral
. . . Hanoi has aired a broadcast in which the pilot son of United States Commander in the Pacific, Adm. John McCain, purportedly admits to having bombed civilian targets in North Vietnam and praises medical treatment he has received since being taken prisoner."
Saigon-UPI, June 4, 1969

"The English-Language broadcast beamed at South Vietnam was one of a series using American prisoners. It was in response to a plea by Defense Secretary Melvin S. Laird, May 19, that North Vietnam treat prisoners according to the humanitarian standards set forth by the Geneva Convention."
Washington Post - June 5, 1969

"Dr. Fernando Barral, a Spanish psychiatrist residing in Cuba, returned from the Democratic Republic of Vietnam . . . he brought back some journalistic news: an interview with a North American pilot captured in the DRV after bombing Hanoi on 26 October 1967. The meeting between him and the pilot took place in an office of the Committee for Foreign Cultural Relations in Hanoi. The pilot interviewed is Lt Cmdr John Sidney McCain, son and grandson of American Navy Admirals . . . "In the course of the interview, on various occasions he showed that knowledge of the language, saying some words, dates, and so forth in Spanish, or [using it] when he thought the interpreter was seeking the corresponding French word. "Naturally, from the beginning this established a more direct communication between us, and more than one question or my response was made directly in Spanish."
Havana Granma - January 24, 1970

I'm not the one threatening to sit home or go to another party.

No. You're the one browbeating everyone to toe the party line no matter how much of a treasonous bastard the nominee is. We won't leave the Republican Party if McCain is coronated as the nominee - the party will have left us.

I love the way some of you assume that nobody ever "does anything" except you.

I never said that you didn't do any work within the party. I'm talking about what you're doing to undermine McCain's potential nomination in order to avoid the nightmare scenario being discussed. From the evidence I see, all you're doing is bettering his chances by screaming at Republicans to stick to the party nominee no matter how much of a dangerous liberal psychopathic treasonous bastard he is.

BUMP!

We need a real conservative for '08 and I can't for the life of me imagine how anyone can support that turn-coat.

Bill Bennett started a good conversation this morning identifying who among the Senate were in fact good conservatives. It was a short list...but there is still hope.

We need to champion the men of principle.

That wik site is not factually reliable.

John graduated 5th from the bottom of the class. I just asked my husband how many in their class graduated. He said 800 and somehing. I am not about to count the photos in his Lucky Bag --- the name of the yearbook.

John was not a serious student. His grandfather and father were Academy men and John was 'expected' to attended. He rebelled... but never enough to flunk out or get expelled. Party time.

Rubbish.

McCain will NEVER get the GOP nomination; I've been saying that for months. In fact, I told that to a Senate staffer in January of 2005 face to face.
