Getting the privilege of listening to Durbin, now. I am already feeling my bloodpressure rise.
Wallace is doing well.

He probably imagines that Delaware is really an important State in the Electoral College. Well, let us not disabuse him of that thinking.

Chuck,
Yes, record in PAL if it lets you! That's the format European TVs are in. Computers are all the same, but TVs are different.
Snugs, Snugs, where are you???
To: Alas Babylon!
Now Durbin is getting the censuring question. Comments earlier were exactly right.

I'm watching the replay of FNC right now, but I muted Durbin. I hope I'm not missing anything that would make me smile?

Well, we have some snow coming in that you're welcome to if we can figure a way to get it to you.
(Actually, rain at the moment which means we'll probably have ice tomorrow morning.)

Durbin's comment about being sworn to secrecy and having to leak to expose sounds like he's not willing to exercise co-equal powers of oversight.
If the Senate leaders really felt strongly that the Executive was wrong, then swearing the Legislature to secrecy is not constitutional, and the Senate would be within its own right to expose the Executive without having to leak to the press.
The reality is that the Senate did not have the guts to do it in public.

OK...Durbin's "plan" is not much different from what we are doing now.Thats where he got the "plan" from in the first place. I will reiterate an earlier post-he is just a messenger boy for the DNC talking points. He just isnt smart enough to come up with any of this stuff on his own..

Thanks AB, I am digging for the manual now. Actually I'm watching the rerun of Chris Wallace and Durbin on FNC and Chris is hammering old Turbin Durbin.
I am very pleasantly surprised.
Come in Snugs...............

Now he's talking about being accountable to the House and the Senate, but he was excusing the relinquishing of accountability on the grounds of secrecy and having to leak?
The Senate was weak, that's the bottom line. They'd rather wait and see and point fingers later than take a bold stand if they really had deeply-held beliefs that the Executive was wrong.

Thank you. I just cannot endure Durbin.

Just now watching FNC and TurdBin ... he's talking about how the WH takes those allowed on the Senate Intelligence Committee into a room and makes them swear not to reveal the classified info they're about to receive.
"and many of us are loathe to break the law to get the information out."
My response == but not all of you

The real agenda is impeachment, not censure.

"and many of us are loathe to break the law to get the information out."BS! Once the info is properly "washed" the identity of leaker can be concealed. There is not a Dem on that commitee who wouldnt leak info, if it was washed and would hurt Bush. Durbin is lying. Id bet he has very intimate knowledge of leaking. I assert he is nothing more than a puppet or errand boy. Ergo, a prime candidate for the unauthorized dissemination of classified info..
