"This release may not be an accident." ?????
Is it possible that anyone could release 48,000 documents (or boxes of documents) by accident? ;-)
I think I do understand what you mean. The release is carefully timed.
To: princess leah
Wishful but very good thinking. :-)

Gallup and CNN have been working overtime to show GWB is unpopular. Skewing the polls toward dems. Of course, I'd say 25% of Freepers aren't fond of him either. Too bad they won't acknowledge his greatness til long after he's out of office.

I agree, a researchers dream come true.
I believe it's going to show proof positive that Russia helped get saddam's WMD's to Syria before the war.

Hello,
After reading about all the buzz about the late night thread with Mark, I found it and read it from the beginning. WOW! Who knew all that was going on while the Midwest Freepers were looking for funnel clouds? Good job, (I am pretty jealous that you have received such a badge of honor from the "Great One" :)
Glad to be here, it's never dull, MOgirl

Iran instead of Syria? I suppose it's the nuclear danger over the rat trail/Syrian fighter imports. Strategically, Iran is between Afghanistan and Iraq (logistics land link and airspace). Syria is isolated well enough and can't do what Iran is doing. Iran isn't blocked in and remains bellicose. Syria has already pulled back, but Iran is still imposing especially upon Israel.
I think that even Israelis would place Iran as a high threat than the Syrians. I could be wrong, but if the Iranian extremism is ended, Syria will play better with its neighbors similar to how Libya's Qadhafi is crazy like a fox and surviving without WMD or giant military offensive weapons. How Reagan made military strikes on Libyan terrorist training camps may have similar results with other nations harboring and training jihadists, but not while Iranian extremism with nuclear ambitions persist.

Are you or were you stationed over there that allows me to take your information with seriousness? If you are, have you expressed your concerns with your chain of command?

Yes, that's what I meant. Someone a while back brought up the idea that they would be released at an opportune time, they were right.

Hmmmm. According to our local "newspaper", this week is "Sunshine Week - Your Right to Know."
The Modesto Bee is running a series this week regarding the publics right to know and FOIA information. Yesterday and today, the focus has been on local issues - city and county. State and Fed will follow.
I've been composing a letter to the editor regarding The Barrett Report and the people's right to know the truth behind the 120 redacted pages.

I heard an interview with Stephen Hayes a while ago. He said it is a paper trail SEVEN MILES long! So I think that 489K boxes is accurate.
WOO HOO!!! Let the truth be told!

So far I've only seen the Alert on John Gibson's show. I wish they'd cover it more too, but so far that was it. Someone else on this thread heard the alert too. See post #27.
To: Republican Red
If they really want to piss Hayes off, they can have someone else come in and do the exact same voice! LOL
