Ponca City police officers investigated a Crime Stoppers tip Thursday at Lake Ponca.
Police were looking for evidence related to a possible unreported crime that may have taken place some time ago.
Police investigators searched the area and found no evidence was found to substantiate that a crime was committed.

By putting a person's screen name in the "To:" box a post will show up in their "pings" or "New posts to you" list. This calls an individual or member of a ping list to a thread.
Anytime a thread receives a new post it is "bumped" to the top of the chronological list of posts. This tends to keep a thread active and exposes it to more FReepers.

I'll pass. Lake Ponca has probably already been the scene of old unreported crimes which may or may not have happened.
Besides, I worked at Bartlesville, not Ponca.
