"Woof" is used in broadcasting to say "stop," "that's enough" or to mark a specific point in time -- which is what is done in this case. "Tony's show starts in 3 minutes: WOOF!" Means in 3 minutes from-- NOW!
As for Gen Abizaid playing the race card, it is/ was as unattractive and unconvincing as whhen Sharpton, Jackson and Bonds do it.

If I want to listen to TOny I have to do it now. I am a 24/7 member so I can listen to Rush later. Well actually I can listen to him on the radio, duh! Ok talked me into it.
fair enough...of course we can disagree. And the initial compromise, before it was quashed yesterday (with which I completely disagree) was fine with me. Lets take 45 days, give the information to get everyone on board, and then decide. Instead, you had Jerry Lewis and his band of merry men, turn this into a political football along with Schumer and Cankles Clinton..of course BJ Clinton has been making money hand over fist on this deal.
Just blame the President, that should get you off the hook. ;)
