Tony Snow is back and better than ever!  Tony's gguests and topics on today's Tony Snow Show include:

RIP, DWP Thanks to Chuck Schumer, Duncan Hunter, and a host of other Congressmen, Dubai Ports World says it will turn its U.S. operations over to some phantom American entity. So when the UAE tells us they don’t feel like helping out in the War on Terror, we’ll thank Congress. Tony has more

From the Senate U.S. Senator Sam Brownback will be speaking at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference this weekend. Before he does, he’ll talk to Tony about a host of issues - - including the killed ports deal and the South Dakota abortion legislation.

Sensible Immigration Reform There’s been a lot of grandstanding on both sides of the immigration debate. Someone who has a common sense solution approach to the issue is Newt Gingrich. He joins Tony.

By the way, if you miss anything, the show is streamed again immediately after the three hours. If you’d like on or off the Tony Snow Show ping list, please post a request. All requests happily honored.

"Woof" is used in broadcasting to say "stop," "that's enough" or to mark a specific point in time -- which is what is done in this case. "Tony's show starts in 3 minutes: WOOF!" Means in 3 minutes from-- NOW!

Morgan:

If the point has been made today and I missed it, you have my apologies, but it now seems to me that the way to get the attention of incumbents is to support conservative opposition in the primary. Not only do not support the incumbent, but give money to the conservative.

Although I would love to vote for anyone who is an honest conservative from any party, sadly, we could end up with a Clinton that way. Lets drive the suckers to the right by moving the road.

Their are a lot of intelligent good conservatives right here in our midst that could at the very least run for local offices.

Jim Jeffords was always problematic. I did not vote for him the last time he ran even though he had not left the party. My problem with Jeffords was once, on local radio, when asked about Juanita Broaderick's charges of rape, he answered "rape is a private matter." When the talk show host and callers confronted him on that stupid statement he stuck by it. He was taped and the tape got to Hannity. That afternoon Hannity really went after Jeffords on the remark. Someone from Jeffords office called Hannity and denied the remark. Then Hannity told them he had a tape. Uh oh. From that time on I couldn't stand the man and swore I would never vote for him again no matter who opposed him as a democrat. When his re-election came up I didn't vote for his opponent I just didn't vote in that category on the ballot. Jim Jeffords has always been completely useless. Whether he was a republican, democrat or independent really made no difference since he was always going to vote mostly with the democrats.

I too find it hard to give money to the republican party. I don't expect to agree with everything but what annoys me is the lack of loyalty. On the one hand I like the fact they are not like democrats and seem to stand on principles. On the other hand they are a little too quick to rush out and eat their own. I don't want them to drink the kool aid I'd just like them to have some stones.

When it was first announced in the Senate yesterday that the deal with DPWorld had been made that they would "drop it"...so to speak...

One of my first posts, facetiously, was that we better pay attention to who financially profits by this ....and I suggested that we watch the Clintons..since they have already made money...

But, since they were on both sides of the issue....look for them to profit off this deal...maybe with Schmuckie??

Hey, anyone who can get a compliment out of Ali has my respect! 8)

Yes, that is what I am doing as well. Picking good local candidates and supporting them. The Federal candidates have gone to the dark side.

That alone is not a good enough reason. They are in the crosshairs, maybe not as much as Israel, but all neighbors in Iran should be less accomodating to their hostilities.

Isn't it interesting that Jay Bennish and Ward Churchill have the SAME attorney?

Sometimes my conspiratorial side gets the best of me, but with Tony [rightfully] criticizing the WH communications people, is it not odd that they schedule a Presidential press conference at the same time as Tony's show?

[Especially since this is not the best time to reach a broader TV audience.]

Nah... the Pres appreciates the talk show hosts. Maybe too much. Its kinda' like political welfare where he's gotten lazy and unproductive because he is used to having 'someone else do it'.

It would be bad, but I am also one of those who think that if the Pres spent all his time responding to 'critics' it would severely hinder his agenda.

Its a balancing act though, have to respond enough to protect the policy, but not enough that your neglect advancing anything.

The problem here is Bush relied on his 'usual' PR people, and 2/3rds were outraged the first few days... thats down to 1/3rd now that people are better informed, and much of the remaining are just stuck out on a limb, but the damage was done.

At the same time you have the media doing what they usually do... misinforming and hyping. You have the democrats doing what they usually do... politically exploiting it and blaming bush. You have the republicans doing what they usually do... run and hide and seek the shelter of the MSM and pollsters.

So its an uphill battle back, and the whole 45day review that lasted 6, and the appending to defense spending bills and all that is just an extra KICK IN THE GROIN, that makes me want to puke.

To bad.. I really liked Peter King, especially after he SMACKED DOWN Chrissy matthews on Katrina coverage. Now I have LESS THAN zero respect for the puke.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg blasted congressional critics of the Dubai ports deal on Friday, calling their complaints "the cheapest political shot in the world." "What I don't like is all of a sudden [the Dubai ports controversy] becomes the issue du jour," Bloomberg told WABC Radio's John Gambling. "And everybody's rushing up there waving the flag, beating their chests, saying I'm trying to defend this country better than others." "My eyes roll when I listen to all of this," he added. Bloomberg said the U.S. had become "a virtual non-entity" in terms of global ports management. "That was long ago given away.

"And they're just discovering this?" he asked sarcastically. The liberal Republican said Congress had been AWOL when it came to port security in the past.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg: The Dubai terminal deal sure makes some strange bedfellows.

Oh man tol, my friend just redid the site for A73... you should see the video on abortion. She send me an email to see what I thought. It's graphic though.

http://www.abort73.com/HTML/I-case.html

If you want to skip video to check out the site, it has an option.

The site is flash-intensive and I need Ras and sono's thoughts on appearance of the site as well.

I'm guessing that, since the whole thing ran while he was doing his program, he hasn't had the time to review it.
