You're welcome JP.
Happy Easter!
I agree but with Russia/China backing Iran how much leeway do we truly have? I don't think we're going to use nuke bunker buster's on them, though we should before they destroy Israel
Iran issues stark military warning to United States
Iran said it could defeat any American military action over its controversial nuclear drive, in one of the Islamic regime's boldest challenges yet to the United States.
"You can start a war but it won't be you who finishes it," said General Yahya Rahim Safavi, the head of the Revolutionary Guards and among the regime's most powerful figures.

Iran Leader: Israel Will Be Annihilated
The president of Iran again lashed out at Israel on Friday and said it was "heading toward annihilation," just days after Tehran raised fears about its nuclear activities by saying it successfully enriched uranium for the first time.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called Israel a "permanent threat" to the Middle East that will "soon" be liberated. He also appeared to again question whether the Holocaust really happened.
"Like it or not, the Zionist regime is heading toward annihilation," Ahmadinejad said at the opening of a conference in support of the Palestinians. "The Zionist regime is a rotten, dried tree that will be eliminated by one storm."

China Wages Unconventional War
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Chinese authorities in Hong Kong were alarmed recently when they found a MiG-29 Fulcrum jet fighter inside shipping containers destined for the United States. The MiG-in-a-box was not armed, did not have working engines and lacked avionics.
What the Chinese had actually discovered was a Ukrainian MiG-29 being shipped to a U.S. museum for static display. The shipper, unable to handle such specialized cargo, simply did not have the proper paperwork on file to alert the PRC authorities.
Still, the boys in Beijing were quite upset and had to confirm the deal with Ukrainian authorities before releasing the MiG for transport to America.
This episode stands in stark contrast to the reaction that Chinese authorities had when an armed air-to-air missile was found inside a jetliner full of passengers."

"Palestinians to get Russian aid"
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Hamas supporters in Gaza City condemn the withdrawal of aid
Russia has said it will grant the Hamas-led Palestinian Authority urgent financial aid, in opposition to the policy of the EU and the US.
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov made the pledge to authority President Mahmoud Abbas in a telephone call, Moscow said.
The US and EU cut off aid after Hamas took power on 30 March because the militant group refused to renounce violence or recognise Israel.
Iran on Friday urged the Muslim world to help fund the authority.
A Russian foreign ministry statement said: "Mahmoud Abbas stated his high appreciation of Russia's intent, confirmed by Sergei Lavrov, to grant the Palestinian Authority an urgent financial aid in the nearest future."
Mr Lavrov said on Tuesday withholding aid to the Palestinians was a mistake."
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "In Tehran, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, opened a three-day forum on Palestinian solidarity by calling on the Muslim world to help the Palestinian people and their Hamas-led government."

TRAVEL.STATE.GOV - PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: "RUSSIA FEDERATION"
http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/pa/pa_1162.html
Snip: Customs officials at Hong Kongs container terminal Tuesday reportedly foiled an attempt to smuggle a MiG-29 fighter jet through the territory, the DPA news agency reports.
The Cold War-era fighter jet, with engines removed, is said to have been found inside a container being shipped through the Hong Kong port, the worlds busiest in terms of throughput.
The government-run RTHK radio station said the fighter jet was intercepted as it was being shipped through Hong Kong to a third country. It was not known where the plane began its journey.
Los Angeles County Racial/Ethnic
Demographic Changes 1940 - 2000Report compiled by
Miroslava Flores
La Voz de AztlanLos Angeles County in Southern California has undergone startling demographic changes especially as it concerns the Latino population which is mostly of Mexican descent. The following seven maps show graphically how the racial/ethnic populations have changed from 1940 to 2000 according to the decennial censuses. The maps were prepared at the University of California at Los Angeles.
Unfortunately, the growth of the Mexican population in Los Angeles County has not been reflected in the degree of political influence attained by the community due to a number of factors. One of the major ones is the practice of "gerrymandering" which consists of the breaking up of Mexican-American voter strongholds. When political districts are created after each decennial census, the political power elites make sure that the Mexican-American voting blocks are splintered thus assuring that one of their own will win in that district.
Another major obstacle in achieving proportionate political representation for Mexicans in Los Angeles County has been right out tampering with elections results. This is especially true in elections for city councils in the various municipalities that comprise the county. One example is the City of Whittier where the Mexican-American population is now approaching 60% yet no candidate of Mexican descent has been able to oust any of the 5 White councilmembers. The situation concerning gerrymandering and tampering with ballot boxes has had a very adverse affect on the Mexican population in terms of the lack of political representation in city governments, the Los Angeles Unified School Board, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, in the US Congress and at the State capital.

thank you for posting this SA! I went through many demographics on FAIR last night, it is the best tool for each state/city!

Nice post, SA. I have many reactions, ranging from 'Sigh' to '@#$%%$^&' to 'we have met the enemy and he is us' to 'Isn't it the pits when someone brings facts and data into a discussion'. What is clear, IMHO, is that the status quo or doing nothing is no longer an option.
Snip: Its population has grown to more than 3 million as it has absorbed waves of migrants trying to escape poverty in the countryside. Public services have struggled to keep pace with the growth and the names given to some of the suburbs -- Chechnya, Dallas, The Guts -- reflect their haphazard beginnings and the dark humor of the inhabitants.
17 Serbian para-military troops infected with Mouse Fever
Snip: Doctors at Belgrade's infectious diseases clinic said the number of sick policemen is expected to rise since 33 gendarmes were directly exposed to the virus while on assignment in southern Serbia, the Beta news agency reported Friday.
Mila Vucic-Jankovic, head of a Belgrade immunology institute said tests have established the policemen were infected with viral hemorrhagic fever with kidney syndrome, which means renal function could be affected. None of the hospitalized policemen were in a life-threatening state.
And this report calls it Bubonic Plague
Snip: Fifteen gendarmes in southern Serbia have been infected with bubonic plague, the health authorities of Serbia and Montenegro said on Thursday. The infection was confirmed in 15 gendarmes in two squads in the southern Serbian city of Bujanovac, said the head of the infectious disease controlling center.
This is great BUT from the LA Times
