HILLARY CLINTON Joins immigration debate.
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton....charged that some Republicans are trying to create a "police state" to round up illegal immigrants.
Speaking at a rally of Irish immigrants, Clinton blasted a bill passed the House in December that would make unlawful presence in the US - currently a civil offense - a felony.....the House bill "is a rebuke to what America stands for." Clinton called it "an unworkable scheme to try to deport 11 million people, which you have to have a police state to try to do."
She called, instead, for immigration reform "based on strengthening our borders".....Clinton said she supports allowing some undocumented workers to earn citizenship, especially "those who are here, working hard, paying taxes, respecting the law."

She called, instead, for immigration reform "based on strengthening our borders".....Huh. So, what's she gonna do to fix the problem, then: wave "Old Crusty" at 'em, and TERRIFY the incoming illegals into beating a hasty retreat...? :)

Hillary thinks its a "police state" to defend our national sovereignty. The problem is we have 12 million people inside this country in violation of its laws who owe it no loyalty. And her idea of dealing with our immigration crisis is to reward lawbreakers with future citizenship. Which will only compound the problem. Thanks but no thanks.

Republicans are trying to create a "police state" to round up illegal immigrants Excuse me, but the police are supposed to round up illegals. That's what police are for.

"an unworkable scheme to try to deport 11 million people"
The demagogues always like to throw out that number and insinuate that we'd try to deport all of them in one giant herd, that we'd line up hundreds of thousands of buses and go door to door looking for Mexicans the way the Nazis looked for Jews in France. Nonsense. We can deport them as we catch them.
It goes without saying that Hillary is a shrieking harpy alpha b*tch that feeds like a suckbird on the bloated carcass of ignorance.

If the goal is the same, why do the aesthetics matter?
To: ivyleaguebrat
Btw that was an honest question.. do they matter? I'm all for enforcing our laws, but I can't quite wrap my mind around the goal of removing that many people.

I agree. Every week it would be a different position on every issue. She thinks all you have to do is apologize for bad information or pole results and then take a 180 degree turn on every issue. Talking about the blind leading the blind.

Speaking at a rally of Irish immigrants, Odd. Are they illegal Irish immigrants? Once again she shows us how out of touch she is.
Clinton said she supports allowing some undocumented workers to earn citizenship, especially "those who are here, working hard, paying taxes, respecting the law."
Hillary, by being undocumented they are not respecting the law and for the most part they only pay state sales tax, so they are also tax evaders.
Leave it the Dems to be handed a winning issue on a silver plate by the Republicans only to drop it on the floor.

From another thread:
"Sen. Clinton was quick to burnish her national-security credentials and enhance her presidential-contender status by....taking potshots at President Bush. Nobody understands politics better than the Clintons, nor does anyone so carefully orchestrate their moves to bring money and power to themselves....."Whether it is the border, the WOT, or the UAE, Hillary's 'proposals' are all Hillary speak for appeasement for illegals, for terrorists, or law in general. She hates the military, loathes the NRA, will bend any law or the Constitution if it gets in their way, and in general is anti-American; if it doesn't help Hillary or Bill gain anything they are no where to be found on an issue.

Hmmmmmm, is this another Dubai deal, wonder if the foreign agent former president was making a deposit at the little rock library???

Placing mugs shots of Hillary and Hellen Thomas at our borders could be a major step at detering illegals.

If that happens it may be the best thing for conservatives as SHE will overreach and the backlash will result in conservative victories in future elections..too many citizens do not yet see the danger of the left..she will point it out to them in spades.
