Btw that was an honest question.. do they matter? I'm all for enforcing our laws, but I can't quite wrap my mind around the goal of removing that many people.

I don't think we'd remove all of them, or even a noteworthy percentage of them, and I don't think that's the goal. I think the goal is to create and enforce a policy by which illegal aliens would be deported when caught - as opposed to giving them food stamps, public housing, drivers licenses, English lessons, voting instructions, open mouth kisses.....
When an illegal alien is pulled over for speeding or shows up to at the government clinic for vaccination they should be deported. That's all I'm saying.

The twelve million can even stay AFAIC, but just stop letting more in every day! Then work on getting the criminals out that are already here.
