I do think NATO will be involved. I'm sure that has to be the agreement for the US stepping aside and letting the EU take the lead in all this.
I do believe that Russia will not object with the understanding that this is not about resources...it's about a wacko bunch of ragheads with access to weapons they should not have.

The UN is an enabler of all things evil in this world of corrupt governments. That makes for a great signature tagline.
It's also very true.

On the contrary, I think they should get on with it already. If a nuclear threat is located in Iran, have at them. I don't want to fight anymore proxy wars.

Even though I detest their attitude on Mr. Bush and the Iraq engagement it is kind of heartwarming to see that Germany is apparently a pretty strong ally of Israel. I'm afraid that the only solution to all this is: WAR. I can imagine NATO VS. IRAN. That's not an unimaginable scenario. Guess who is going to lose.

"The US is forced to act rather than let Israel do it. It was the same in Gulf War 1 and Gulf War 2. Whatever it takes, Israel must not get involved."
Gulf War 1 was fought to free Kuwait and as a result of threats against the USA. Gulf War 2 was the result of the 9/11 attack and of Saddam having continued to threaten the USA for over a decade (and more importantly, for our strategic establishment of forces in the middle of the Middle East). And Israel did destroy an Iraqi nuclear installation.
Also, Israel is already involved in Iran (most of the intel missions) and will most likely be more involved in the near future (re. enormous expenditures for materiel already made).

Interesting version. When we learned, it was more like
"Lefa'anati mizrach kadimah"
Can you explain the discrepancy?

Somehow I don't think Cheney is going to go that route.
It's going to be a tough sell here in the US tho.
