If you're a smoker who quits, then doesn't smoke for "x" number of years, and doesn't get cancer, your lungs gradually become like new again. I think it takes around 10 years for the lungs to become like new again.

This is a mystery to me. If she did cabaret, that was probably back in the 70s, 80s, maybe early 90s. The most recent of those was at least a decade ago.

It's more likely that there was a genetic predisposition and with the extreme stress she was under for years, she succumbed to the cancer. It's just tragic.

You were called a smoking nazi, there is a difference. You see, most people who join FR have a value system that has smaller government at its core. That means, that we don't need the government regulating every part of our lives as I am sure you have noticed that most people in government can't run their own lives very well. Many of them only care what their lobbyists are giving them. So, though I am not a smoker, I do not have the right nor want the right to tell someone what to do to themselves. Neither does the government.
