I suppose on this thread it goes without saying, but I'll say in anyway...BOYCOTT THE OSCARS tonight.
I want the ratings for this year's program go into the toilet (where most the nominated movies belong). I won't waste my money to see the films, my electricity to watch the Oscars, or my time watching to witness Hollywood's self-adulation fest.

I would love to hear Drudge report some kind of backroom ultimatum given to hollywood. Some *shut up and act* threat, nay, PROMISE made to actors. That is backed up with immediate action. "Goodbye, sorry you just don't get it, it's been fun" memo from executives to Screen Actors Guild members. It would take MAYBE 6 months of tough love for these overpaid, overrated POS to either straighten up or get the hell out. Either way, we win.

Unfortunately, I just endured Reese in the dismal "Sweet Home Alabama" last night on a long plane flight.
It was so bad, people were walking out.

The only movies I saw that were nominated for anything this year was March of the Penguins and Walk the Line. I think Joaquin should have won.
I also think he was very good in Syriana(which I enjoyed very much).
A fairly good year for film, in my opinion. Unpopular as that opinion may be around here.
I'd disagree. One of the ways you can know if somebody knows his way around the internet is if they can find a copy of the FF movie.

Those were my exact thoughts.
Didn't Hoffman play Brant in Big Lebowski? A great movie with many a terrific character.
He's quite giggly tonight - could be stoned.
It was mentioned that this year lacked any big budget blockbusters ... like Titanic. All were relatively cheat to make.
