So when President Ford dies should we post pictures of Rhinos? Please remember that prior to 1980, conservatives did not dominate the Republican Party. And, prior to 1964, they were not even that strong of a faction. President Ford was first elected to Congress in 1948. He was a leader in the party long before the conservative movement seriously took hold.

Funny how things change... many neocon FReepers probably don't often reflect that Senator Robert A. Taft, known as "Mr. Republican," was a leading voice of isolationism prior to--and after--WWII.
