I know, it's Mardi Gras. And Mayor Nagin is trying to be funny. Probably he believes he is paying tribute to that "John Wayne Dude," Lt. Gen. Russel Honore.
But still, there' something funny about the imagery.
And I guess he better learn to ride if he is going to take up residence with the rest of his family in Texas after the elections.

Wrong type of chocolate for Nagin, I still think it's Black Panthers.

This is so pathetic. Nagin was considered a bright and shining star when he was first elected. He had, or at least professed to have, an outstanding career at Cox Communications. He was supposedly well verses in computer technology and going to bring NOLA into the 21st century. I think he did live up to some of the initial claims. However, he will go down as one of the biggest failures in American history. I hope and pray he never wins election to ANYTHING, ever again.

He wishes he were like Honore. If he were even half the man, his future would be more secure. As it is he will be looking for a job by the end of April.

There is a horse's ass in this picture.
Can you find the horse's ass?

finally remembered what this picture was reminding me of:

And I looked, and behold a[nother] pale horse: and his name that sat on him was [$h¡head], and [racism] followed with him. And power was given unto [him] over the [9th ward] of [new orleans], to kill with [not telling people to evacuate], and with [stupidity], and with [dumb@$$ news conferences], and with[holding] the [school buses] of the [district].

Oh great leader of Chocolate Town...
Too bad you didn't try to play "military leader" when Katrina was zeroed in on your town.
Anything....even an attempt at leadership...would have been better than what you actually did.
Nothing.
What's the matter, Choco-Ray, feeling a bit inadequate these days? Feel the need to dress up and play big boy?
Yea, the cigar is a nice touch there Choco-Ray. I'm sure he is your hero.

Why is he impersonating an officer? He reminds me of the National Guard leader during Katrina. Can't think of the guy's name.

You can't count on N.O. black people though. The Dems don't do that much for them and they keep voting them in again.
