Boy you folks are quite "high and mighty". You think your better than these people who don't want kids ... you sound like the liberal elites you rail against all the time.
What a bunch of hypocrites!
So ... these folks don't want kids ... so what! I have three friends (couples) who have kids and all the problems I hear from them is about their kids ... and sometimes "worthless" kids --- their words not mine.
Some people (like me) are smart enough to know we were not cut out to have kids. Be glad we REALIZE this. How many times have you read stories or hear news stories about kids being abused by their parent(s) and said "boy ... some people shouldn't be aloud to have kids". Well, if they had decided not to have them, then these stories of horror to children would not happen.
So get off your high horses and apply the "freedom and liberty" view point we all here at FR like to express about other things to people who don't want kids.

I suggest that you should get off your own horse and allow other people to express their opinions. If you don't like those opinions, simply leave the thread. Nobody is making you read it.
THAT is the freedom and liberty of FreeRepublic.

Calm down old boy. The word "hypocrites" is not properly applied here. We disagree with them. We are not doing one thing while maintaining the opposite should be done. Sure there are people who don't want children. Fine. Free country. Both of my parents came from Europe, actually, one escaped. Europeans (my immediate ancestors) have participated in the greatest carnage in human history within the lifetime of many alive today. There is a spiritual problem there. If you read the post -- and not slam those who comment on it -- you will see the existentialist problem raised right there.

Aren't you glad that your mother wasn't smart enough not to reproduce? The fact remains, Europe is under breeding itself out of existence and will be Eurabia in short order simply because the Muslims will be "fruitful and multiply and replenish the Earth". In my humble opinion, Europe has a spiritual problem. The have become worshipers of pleasure more than worshipers of God and have traded the truth for a lie. They will live to regret this.

This is their choice, and yes they are entitled to make this choice.
At the same time, people can comment on the choice. How can we not observe that people who make this choice seem to want to prolong their adolescence, like Peter Pan. They remain children.

"high and mighty"?
Well, maybe. Maybe not. I have no kids. Don't want any. But I don't get your aggression. If we look at things in a practical way, we can see that our own underbred USA is drowning in a sea of overbreeding, non American, non English speaking illegal aliens, muslims, etc. Many of us don't want kids because, aside from personal absorption, we don't feel up to raising them in such a liberal social climate where many high school graduates can't place the civil war in the correct half century or find a word in a dictionary. Not wanting to raise a family, and not caring to nurture an environment in which a family is desirable, is our own form of self destruction and nothing to be proud of. I'm part of the problem. I'd rather go fishing than deal with kids. But I certainly respect those (legal, red blooded) Americans who are bold enough to raise the kind of kids who, for example, populate our current military. Simultaneously, I loathe people who raise the kind of kids who populate our welfare offices, or clamor for free medical care in our hospital emergency rooms. As an atheist conservative, I believe that it is the duty of all non-liberals to foster an environment in which we have as many breeding Christian conservative patriotic red-blooded Americans as we can. Therein lies our salvation, and I can go fishing in peace.

I, too, am glad that you didn't have kids.
You don't deserve them.

You can thank us later when you're old and decrepit and our kids are: mowing your lawn, shoveling your walkway, delivering your mail, helping you cross the street, protecting you from criminals, and taking care of you in a nursing home.

Sounds like someone struck an exposed nerve of yours. Truth is, most people don't really know about life and what is important if they've not had children. Most simply don't "get it" until they do. You may not be one of those, but most are. Make of this what you will and no lectures please.
