It's been exciting and I can't wait 'til 2010. Curling is going to replace the NFL.

got that !!!
They lost me with Yoko Ono in the opening ceremony.
Leaving aside the horrible coverage, the political corectness, etc., some events were great to watch i.e., Apolo Ohno, or the Canadian girl who won the speed skating.
The Texan speed skater, Chad, was impressive, his 'team' mate, Davis, was NOT.

You know, I can't imagine that we are going to be in the year 2010 in 4 years. I can remember when The Micjey Mouse Club extolled us as the "leaders of the 21st Century" and it seemed far, far in the distant future.

Are there any actual rules these people agree to in the area of comportment? I can't seem to find them on the USOC site.
If anyone can refer me to a link on the behavior that's expected of the athletes, I'd appreciate it.

My hubby has been mesmerized by the curling competitionsI think it's the spin they put on the rock. It's hypnotizing.
All kidding aside, I did enjoy some of the Olympics. The speed skating, cross country skiing, and the Biathlon in particular. I really didn't care who won the events and I think most Americans feel the same way since we lost the great rivalry between us, the Soviets, and East Germans. I really think that, and the addition of professional athletes, has hurt the Olympics.
