Freeper Research Project - Freeper Personalities: Results!
Freeper Research Project: Freeper personality tests ^ | February 26, 2006 | Alamo-Girl and Nita Nupress

Posted on 02/26/2006 9:34:23 AM PST by Alamo-Girl

Below are the first results of the research project!

We would like to improve on the project by adding occupations to the chart below. The occupations listed in each type code will not be associated with Freeper handles.

If you would care to share that information, please post your code and occupation, e.g. INTJ - physicist.

If you don't want others to know your occupation, you could send either Nita Nupress or me a Freep mail with the information.

Thank you all so very much for participating in this project! If you'd like to be listed in the next update, please take the test and let us know your code and scores:

LOL. Yep. That works for everything but the bank account.

My husband and I had our first date at a bowling alley. We got so interested in watching people, we never bowled. Had a blast trying to figure out what people did for a living, what kind of car they drove, where they lived, was it a date or where they married, that kind of thing.

Very cheap date in the end. We still love people watching, which I suppose is why I find this kind of thread so fascinating.

He's an introvert though. Still trying to figure out what it did for him. ; ).

I'm sorry. I'm in a bad mood because I'm having problems with my boat that prevented me from fishing today.

Punkin', I'm sorry about your boat. I know how bad it is when "your mouth gets ready" for something, and then you're denied it.

The inFP in me wants to offer you a cookie; but my introspection and intuition tell me that it's not the appropriate response for you.

;-)

Seriously, I am sorry about the plans goin' bad.

You know, I don't remember. I have a few resources I could ask if you are interested.

There are correlations if I remember right., it's been a while. I always related to this test better than the other one, so I think that is why I remember it.

Thanks on the Pollyanna thing. There was a time when I was quite the little cynic, but I decided that was a heck of a way to go through life. This fits my personality much better. Obviously. Ha!

Naw, it's just fun.

In looking into Shakespeare and Chaucer, it's fun to talk about how people believed in the humors.

No matter how "delicately" I try and put things I usually get axed after 2 replies. I did make it to 4 once!

Because you're playing it as a conservative, and arguing with them, I'll bet.

It's possible that the direct approach might work. If someone were to log in and say, "I'm a Freeper, but I'm not here to argue. I just want to see why Freepers and DUers think so differently. A number of us took this Jungian personality test (link), and it would be interesting to see how DUers score on the tests." It's possible that it would pique their interest enough to play along.

A more likely approach would be to establish some cred, by slinging LIHOP and MIHOP and BFEE around for a few weeks--that could be done with a shell script--and then starting a thread saying, "Hey, look at these idiot Freepers! On this thread (link) they all outed themselves as INTJs!!!1 What a bunch of saps. I'm an ESFP, how about the rest of us?"

Don't be sorry. I find you very entertaining and I'm glad you posted. I am especially curious about posters I run into regularly.

I am sorry about your boat and that you don't get to fish and genuinely hope you'll be back at it soon. But hey, the upside is you get to hang out with a bunch of people who are obsessed with statistical frequency of personality types in a nameless, faceless political forum. A distant second for fun and adventure.

Ok. Maybe not. Maybe you should go get a beer or something. ; ).

He's an introvert though. Still trying to figure out what it did for him. ; ).

Maybe it was the ENFP that he was with? Sometimes opposites attract?

My undergrad degree is in psych. I later went on to get math/engineering degrees but I never could figure out why psych was so easy for me. I love learning about people.

Beneath the quiet exterior, INFJs hold deep convictions about the weightier matters of life. Those who are activists -- INFJs gravitate toward such a role -- are there for the cause, not for personal glory or political power.

INFJs are champions of the oppressed and downtrodden. They often are found in the wake of an emergency, rescuing those who are in acute distress. INFJs may fantasize about getting revenge on those who victimize the defenseless. The concept of 'poetic justice' is appealing to the INFJ.

"There's something rotten in Denmark." Accurately suspicious about others' motives, INFJs are not easily led. These are the people that you can rarely fool any of the time. Though affable and sympathetic to most, INFJs are selective about their friends. Such a friendship is a symbiotic bond that transcends mere words.

INFJs have a knack for fluency in language and facility in communication. In addition, nonverbal sensitivity enables the INFJ to know and be known by others intimately.

Writing, counseling, public service and even politics are areas where INFJs frequently find their niche.
