RE: The Headline
Wow, a whole 6 months later and a city nearly destroyed by a natural disaster isn't whole...what a shock.

Quagmire!!!!
I for one am sick of this, the current liberal cause of the month, frankly other cities are all cleaned up, I am appalled this city has not been cleaned, broke is one thing, this is just appalling. This city reminds me of a third world country in Africa

Man, I'm sick of New Orleans.

If I understand this correctly there is a huge problem because there are more jobs than workers? And there is a huge demand for housing? Only liberals can screw this up!

His neighborhood, where homes had water up to their roofs, is one of many that are now in limbo, waiting for government officials to determine whether residents can rebuild. Which government?

I'm far from whole either. But you don't see me demand people baby me over my loss. Its life, we have to move on and it won't stand still for us. New Orleans needs to get the same message.

Frankly, I am just all out of NOLA sympathy factor as of late. Getting damned tired of seeing healthy, robust and well fed adults sitting on their sorry arses whining, hep me, hep me. In the real world, many of us have had to belly up and take a big bite out of the old $h!t sandwich, chew it, swallow it, digest it, and then get the hell on with living.
In short, root wild hog or die.

I read somewhere with the money government has spent so far on N.O., they could have gave each displaced person a million bucks.

I can't imagine that the local are too into Mardi gras this year. 4 months after Wilma and we are "full-blown" into rebuilding mode for our hurricane damage, it took this long for the majority of us to get our first post-hurricane coverage checks. Their devastation was so severe that I can't imagine they'd be distracted by all those tourists. Heck usually I'd be partying for Carnaval this week, but we've only just finished repair on the master BR. Roof, screen, pool, windows...other...are still pending. And that's a not-so-damaged by comparision home. I wish the hard-working people hurt by Katrina well...

NO can GO...
Really don't care about a corrupt bunch of Dems that don't have a CITY to rape and pillage for their own personal gain anymore...
Those 100,000 people in Houston have already put down their roots there and started the next crime rampage.
