RE: The Headline
Wow, a whole 6 months later and a city nearly destroyed by a natural disaster isn't whole...what a shock.

Please provide correctly named sources and working links for each of the two articles you have included above.

Quagmire!!!!
I for one am sick of this, the current liberal cause of the month, frankly other cities are all cleaned up, I am appalled this city has not been cleaned, broke is one thing, this is just appalling. This city reminds me of a third world country in Africa

You're right. We can't win so we might as well...

I am appalled this city has not been cleaned,... The politicians are too concerned that they will be voted out come April. The entire liberal base is gone, hopefully never to return. The Dems of the state will use every dirty tactic in an attempt to maintain their grip, so I expect we'll be seeing more of the 'Help New Orleans' whining.
Most of us in the state could care less if New Orleans fell into the ocean.

And how long before they rebuilt Atlanta after Sherman took it in 1864?

Just as Houston became the new center after the destruction of Galveston, so Baton Rouge should replace New Orleans. What's gone is gone.

Man, I'm sick of New Orleans.

If I understand this correctly there is a huge problem because there are more jobs than workers? And there is a huge demand for housing? Only liberals can screw this up!

His neighborhood, where homes had water up to their roofs, is one of many that are now in limbo, waiting for government officials to determine whether residents can rebuild. Which government?

Me too. I'm getting sick of all the "victims" waiting for the gov't to come save them. I'm sick of the MSM and their constant coverage. I'm sick of Mardi Gras.

The totally lack of housing is the reason that there are more jobs then workers.

Thanks for that one link, but you have included two unsourced, unlinked stories in this one thread.
The thread may need to be removed unless you can provide the correct source and link for both stories.
Thanks.

How are things going in the rest of the state (since nobody every bothers to talk about that)?

I know.
I get depressed every day I leave my neighborhood.

I'm far from whole either. But you don't see me demand people baby me over my loss. Its life, we have to move on and it won't stand still for us. New Orleans needs to get the same message.
