Awwwww.....

One of the great entertainers of our time. An old school actor.

Rest in peace, Don.

He is one of the few actors who can be called an 'entertainer'. His act wasn't just Barney, but everything from song & dance to beyond acting.

Me too.

BTW, I HAD attached to my earlier post:

But I accidentally included too much HTML formatting.

Of course, I remember Steverino and the gang, LIVE television coming to you from La Mirada Avenue in Hollywood!!

The silliness of it all! I loved it. Thanks for the photos, especially "My nay Ho-say Hee-maynes!!" LOL.

Hey, all comedians are not for everyone. She doesn't like slapstick. I love it. She didn't get "Team America" (what women does?) I loved it. Chill. Knotts had a great career, which was a testament to the fact that more people loved him than hated him. We all should be so lucky.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Barney Fife: The last big buy was my mom's and dad's anniversary present.

Andy Taylor: What'd ya get 'em?

Barney Fife: A septic tank.

Andy Taylor: For their anniversary?

Barney Fife: They're awful hard to buy for. Besides, it was something they could use. They were really thrilled. It had two tons of concrete in it. All steel reinforced.

Andy Taylor: You're a fine son, Barn.

Barney Fife: I try.

And with the laughter, you succeeded, Mr. Knotts. God rest and keep you.

Yep. Whenever you do slapstick, a LOT of people will hate it.
The Stooges are a classic example.

Ralph Kramden, Barney Fife.

The two best characters television ever produced.

The Andy Griffith show without Barney flat out died.

Barney, Floyd and the three escaped women cons, the best of the best.

Thank you for the many, many laughs Mr. Knott. And thank you for your military service to America. You will be missed.
