Would you like to learn a little more about yourself and your fellow posters on Free Republic? If so, you might enjoy this Freeper Research Project.
It began on another thread where people were testing themselves for nerdiness. Great fun was had by all.
Along the way, Freeper patton posted a link to the Jung personality test. What an adventure! I took the test for the first time and found out I am an INFJ (I=44, N=75, F=25, J=25).
Because we were sharing the results of our tests on that thread, I was pleasantly surprised to discover three other Freepers with the same personality type. And, naturally, being curious some of us went to yet another link to find out what the code means and what famous people are INFJs:
The strange part is that INFJs are the smallest in the general population, but among those posting on the thread, INFJs were in the majority. Does that mean that INFJs are drawn to Free Republic or to those kinds of tests, or are more willing to discuss such things?
At any rate, it is a delightful musing about this forum, the posters we are drawn to (or against): does the Jung personality test have anything useful to say to us?
If you are interested or perhaps would just like to have some fun, take the test and check out the results. And if youre willing, post your results here on this thread so that we can all compare notes.
The results so far:
INFJ: Indy Pendance, Knitting a Conundrum, Grey-whiskers, Alamo-Girl INTJ: John O (67,62,25,67), hosepipe (11,50,19,56), Cyclopean Squid (44,100,62,56) INTP: marron ENFJ: .30Carbine (1,50,75,22) , phantomworker (39,57,40,12)
Now I'm a INTJ 44-62-25-33
My thought processes have changed since leaving college. I think this was a pretty accurate assessment.

Are you going to tabulate and post the results of this?
Aha! Another ENFJ. What does it mean? Well-balanced, looks like. :)
Another INTJ. I bet the GRPLs are all ISFJs.
INTJ
I've also seen references that correlate Myers-Briggs with political preference. INTJs tend towards libertarian, and INTPs more toward standard Republicanism. I don't remember the others.
Oh boy... I really want to find that LOL!
That makes 3 of us - woo hoo!
ISTJ here. But I was in a hurry to fill it out. Maybe I'll try again later.

If you take the time to compile the results, I'd be very interested in seeing them. I took this test about 10 years ago, and I was an INTJ then also.
I'm waiting for an update on Jared's condition and will post when available.

"After the results came back, Security escorted me out of the building. With drawn weapons."
After I took mine the security chief came in and said "you're our boy" and they all moved away from me on the Group W bench. Now I walk around with three security cards and cameras looking at me harboring seditious thoughts.
Feeling and not thinking, AG? tsk, tsk, tsk.
"I don't know what this means!"
Me too. It gives the explanation a little further down. You're an "Inspector Guardian".
Here is another site that offers descriptions of the types: ISTJ, "The Inspector". You can navigate to descriptions of all the other types there.
We are closer than any I've seen so far.

You keeping up the tally.
Looks like Thinking/Judging
Thinking/Perceiving is the key to what we all have in common.
We had to raise an ENTJ child, "Little Napolean" is only a good start on a description of an ENTJ child. My wife would growl knowingly, not chuckle, at the "I'm really sorry you have to die" line. (F's don't stay gentle in the enduring presence of an ENTJ.)
I knew you'd be strong on sensing. How else could you read cats.
That's gotta be wrong. I know I'm way over the edge on a lot of things. I must really live a blah-blah existence. I think I'll go find someone to argue with. I've never been warned or banned here and I feel like a misfit. I've not even posted on any of the Port threads. I must be a Libran.
