"There never is a medical necessity to rip apart a baby
when the mother's life is in jeopardy.
Do a c-section and let the baby have a chance to
survive!"

I agree. You probably misunderstood my earlier post. Abortion was legal in this country prior to Roe. Dr.'s could perform abortions if the mother's life was in danger.

" I'm remain convinced that the need for this lib "last ditch baby killing" .. aided by docs with an agenda .. is a farce. "
I agree, Starwise. Saying Partial Birth Abortion is necessary to save the life of the mom, is nuts. To do one of those barbaric procedures, the baby has to be first turned inside the mom, and then the baby is pulled out feet first. Imagine what kind of strain that does to the mom.
Like you stated, a C-section would be the proper procedure, if it was about saving the Mother's life. They have used lies, imo to justify using Partial Birth Abortion, as the only method, to save the mother's life.

Tom Daschle is saddened, deeply saddened.

My feminist past has nothing to do with this and EVERYTHING to do with the fact that I am survivor of having been molested and raped.
I'm really sorry you went through that horror. Do you honestly believe that adding an abortion to your molestation and rape would have helped your mental health?
To: proudofthesouth
While what you went through is terrible, it gives you a strong bias. Unfortunately, children are not around to share their experience after they have been dismembered.

Every pro-lifer supports allowing abortion in the case of the life of the mother. Not this pro-lifer. America is a nation that puts its children before its parents.

When I posted, John Gibson had just said it was going to the governor. I later heard about what you posted.

Just those who claim that murder is acceptable in some instances.

Where federal law overrules state law, state law is simply ignored. But there is no federal law prohibiting states from banning abortion.
Neither federal house has voted for such a law. The executive has not signed such a law. No states have ratified such a law. And no such law is listed in the U.S. Constitution. Thus, no law.

Does it exclude cases of rape and incest?Sure why not. If the child is guilty of either, go ahead and execute him or her..."humanely" of coarse.

If the mother dies as a result of a pregnancy that is God's will.

Is killing one conjoined twin to save the other child murder? No.
But killing someone for convenience is. Which is the rule of abortion. The exception where the mother's life is supposedly in danger is drastically overblown.

Women who have been raped or girls who are the victims of incest - their mental health comes first! Which is why they should take out their pain on their own innocent offspring. Nothing like adding guilt to victim-hood. Just great for ongoing mental health.
