Islamic Truths
Lost Angeles Times ^ | 18 February 2006 | Mansoor Ijaz

ANOTHER WEEK, another Muslim country burns in rage over months-old Danish cartoons depicting the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in an unflattering light. On Friday it was Libya, and earlier in the week it was my father's homeland, Pakistan, where violent protests were scattered across the nation. Some Muslims have decided that burning cities in defense of a prophet's teachings, which none of them seem willing to practice, is preferable to participating in rational debate about the myths and realities of a religion whose worst enemies are increasingly its own adherents.

This week's events should compel those of us who claim Islam as our system of philosophical guidance to ask hard questions of ourselves in order to revive the religion's essential foundation: justice, peaceful and tolerant coexistence, compassion, the search for knowledge and unwavering faith in the unity of God.

It would be one man, one vote, one time. After that, the Supreme Guide sets policy.

Yep, that's their whole plan in a nutshell. It's hard for me to believe that we Westerners would ever let that happen, but now that I've seen how many American news outlets were afraid to publish cartoons portraying mohamhead - I can see the possibility of that actually happening unless we get off this "politically correct" train ride/crash we're on.

Ijaz seems confused as to what a "real" Muslim actually is. He gives two versions.

I think he is quite conflicted being associated with Islam and it's murderous teachings. It's likely he is at heart an apostate Muslim, hoping against hope what his eyes tell him about Islam isn't really true. Instead, he prefers to substitute his own wishes and make up what he wants it to be - something like a benign philosophy of life.

So the reason he consummated a marriage with a 9 year old was just to give her a home?

Do we know for sure he consummated it? (I'm not doubting you, I am just curious to know how to verify this)

Roger that!

And this is another load of Bravo Sierra:

" ........a religion whose worst enemies are increasingly its own adherents. ."

Wrong again... the adherents of militant Islam have awoken an enemy being increasingly forced to consider annihilation as the only effective means to defend against the threat of Jihad.

Semper Fi

Do we know for sure he consummated it?

Yes...and he was already married to her for three years.

His taqiyah is showing. Based on the evidence his deception is deliberate. He ignores the plain teachings of the Koran, and the 1000+ years of historical fact. Muslims will attempt to win by any means fair or foul.

Sahih Muslim Book 008, Number 3310:
'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) married me when I was six years old, and I was admitted to his house when I was nine years old.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 64
Narrated 'Aisha:
that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).

The hypocrisy only starts there. Muslims and Arabs have done pitifully little to help improve the capacity of the Palestinian people to be good neighbors to their Israeli brethren.

Living in La la land.

The Palestinian people are being used by the arab world to take care of their "Jooish" problem. As soon as that can be accomplished, the Palestinian people will no longer be a "cause" and they asses will be subjugated and be tossed out like the trash.

"have awoken an enemy being increasingly forced to consider annihilation as the only effective means to defend against the threat" Yep. As hard as it is to say, this is what islam is setting itself up for. And our intellectuals will scapegoat us for defending ourselves when it happens.

Indeed - Jan Sobieski to defend Austria and Germany and Poland; Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar/El Cid to defend the Iberian peninsula; and Charles Martel to put some gumption into the hearts of Frenchmen!

The west is in need of some courage and conviction.

Domination is what they want. Where is Jan Sobieski when we need him?

Pan Sobieski? Wow, haven't seen that name in awhile. I was bored on a 12 hour flight and a copy of Michener's Poland was stuck in the seatback. I was thinking "great, how boring." But it was a real page-turner.

Add Don Juan de Austria and Leonidas of Sparta to the list.

Well, without disagreeing, how's about Hooper's dead body - first.
