"John McCain ... will pull a strong female vote I think."

Couldn't argue with that. McCain has a very friendly disposition and a kind looking face. That attracts female voters, especially.

Not this female. Can't stand him these days.

"Why wasn't Sam Brownback included?"

For one, there's already 4 Senators on the list -- no need to get too Senator-crazy, since Senators don't win Presidential elections anyway.

And 1 very well spoken Governor , Mitt Romney .
Romney/Rice sounds good to me if they are right on the social issues . It's a winning combination .

Condi isn't running unless she's selected as VP.

Sitting congressmen and senators have a great deal of trouble in getting elected. The last one to do it was JFK, and he needed dead people in Chicago to pull that one off.

So, of the remaining ones on the list, that leaves Rudy, Newt, Frist, and quite possibly Santorum as non-congressional candidates. Of those, I think Newt would be the most formidable candidate.

I wish Jeb Bush was running.

I don't care what she's said on the matter, I still like Condi. She's got the brains and the guts we need in a president.

Can your Shih-Tzu meet the age requirement? Or is 35 in dog years good enough?

That's but one photo. You could find angry photos of President Bush too; that doesn't mean he's like that 24/7. Sheesh.

Weak answer. Brownback has deep support in the nation...especially in the conservative base.

I agree with your assumption, but not it's application; voting for her will mean we do nothing to get them out of the federal executive because they will not be priority issues for her.

And the Israel isssue is certainly not a matter for the States...?

Condoleeza Rice will be replacing Dick Cheney this fall as Vice President and will run for and win the Presidency.

So you think Senators don't become Presidents yet Representatives do?

The whole Senators-don't-become-president thing is a myth anyway. It stems from the general rule that STIFFS don't become President and many Senators are stiffs.

(Cue the 'stiff' jokes ....)

As a Senator, John Kerry had a lot of support, too, but he still lost.

The last person to win the Presidency whose highest previous office was as a member of the House of Representatives was James Garfield...who had also been a general in the Civil War. His victory came in 1880.
