MOUND HOUSE, Nevada (Reuters) - In a small Nevada town, a sign at the end of a poorly lighted street lined with warehouses bears an unusual message: "Warning-Sexual entertainment 300 yards ahead. If sex offends you, get out of here."
At the Bunny Ranch in Mound House, men travel many miles to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars to have sex in the only U.S. state to allow legal brothels.
Yet even in permissive Nevada, legal prostitution operates at the margins of society and, unlike other vices such as gambling and pornography, without mainstream America's embrace. The brothel owners themselves disagree whether to stay in the shadows or trumpet their services.

The "S" word? You mean the word slut?
I know of no thinking person who defends that double standard. It is a repulsive concept.
>>>To buy and sell it on the open market dishonors us as human beings made in the image of God.>>>
While I agree with you religiously, speaking from an American POV, why should my activity have YOUR religion in mind? It shouldn't.
The fella's who "get some" for a dinner and a movie are obtaining their objective for a smaller capital outlay than is someone who pays a pro $200+ /hour.
The quality of the service will determine whether or not he received a bargain.
Yes, I do. I think we will all look alike also. Mixing of the races will make the world all look the same.
>>>"but it is a necessary outlet for alot of people"
Necessary? Really? And for what kind of people?>>>
Ummm human people.
Why is prostitution illegal?
Will we all be gray? Will people not want to have sex either?
"You really believe that someday, everyone in the world will be of one faith?"
I think he's talking about the period after Jesus returns and all the world believes. Christians have been waiting for that for 2000 years now, and most Christians believe that it is coming, inevitably, some time.
Of course, Christianity represents only about 1/3 of the world's population, so lots of people disagree with that vision.
>>>Why is prostitution illegal?
A most definite carry over from the religious laws of yesteryear.
So people who can live without having sex are not human?
'Cause it's hard to tax?
"Will we all be gray? Will people not want to have sex either?"
I suspect there will be no sex at all, in this vision of a perfect world. Sex is messy. Sex causes all sorts of feelings. Feelings are messy.
Nope. No sex. Instead, everyone will sing hymns, 24/7.
What religious laws of yesteryear?
>>>Will we all be gray? Will people not want to have sex either?>>>
We will all be gray and either all be ugly, or all be beautiful so everyone will have a partner. Noone will do without sex at all and the world will be happy with little butterflies everywhere.
Of course until that happens... men, or women for that matter, must settle for prositution.
Inevitably, can be a really long time...
"So people who can live without having sex are not human?"
Nope, just scarce.
No more FR?
>>>So people who can live without having sex are not human?
I never said and don't try to twist my words. It is human to WANT sex and it is not up to you or anyone else whether they should have to do without it. If you feel the need to be celibate, yay for you.
"Inevitably, can be a really long time..."
Indeed it can. I wouldn't try to hold my breath.
Yeah, and the ugly ones will still be cheaper...
