LOL! See my post right before yours. Same thought. :)

I have not seen any such announcement from Scooter Libby or his spokesman. There has only been supposition in the National Journal. That the media has pushed this story is way beyond yellow journalism and DNC/MSM bushwah.

Well I would not call Deer Hunters smarter, they are just after a bigger target that cannot fly away from you. Smarter was tongue in cheek. Within the last decade or so I remember Gore, Bush, Kerry, Clinton in hunting exhibitions, always birds. I'm sure there are other examples, but why always birds? Obviously they presume that's viewed more favorably than hunting something on four legs. Drunk driving, that's a Kennedy thing, the jail term would end the career of anyone else.
Want to be shocked, this is an actual quote I occasionally abbreviate to a tagline. Is that a sick mind or what.
"If she had lived, Mary Jo Kopechne would be 62 years old. Through his tireless work as a legislator, Edward Kennedy would have brought comfort to her in her old age."
- Charles Pierce in a January 5 Boston Globe Magazine article.

And anyone who says they aren't startled and disconcerted, and put off their aim, when they take to the air, with a roar, right under their nose, is a damn prevaricator. Of course, it's a lot easier with a good dog. Brownwood - quail capital of the world.

I am seeing some difference between the Clinton Administration and Bush 43. Clinton's would get someone else to do their killing.....

All depends upon the person. My dad at 78 was probably more spry and hard workingly enegetic than most 40 year olds. I remember him insisting he would help me paint a house when he was 79 and it was 106 degrees outside.
I would be more concerned about a youngster of 15 to 25 that was new to the sport.

How does one get a bead on the Bird (sight) if he only was going by sound. The reports stated from eyewitnesses that he had a visual. The reports originally were all over the map, even going so far as to say that the VP was shot, most of the Media reports were scatterbrained half a$$ed reporting. Anything can make Bushes rustle, and Dick cheney is an experienced Hunter, and knows this.

All I know is back in 2002 there was some news story that broke and MSNBC couldn't report it because they were showing curling. Curling?

Glad to see ol' Big Time is alright. That'll teach the geezer he shot about sneaking up on a fellow hunter!
Be hail and hearty, VP!
