Well I would not call Deer Hunters smarter, they are just after a bigger target that cannot fly away from you.

Smarter was tongue in cheek. Within the last decade or so I remember Gore, Bush, Kerry, Clinton in hunting exhibitions, always birds. I'm sure there are other examples, but why always birds? Obviously they presume that's viewed more favorably than hunting something on four legs. Drunk driving, that's a Kennedy thing, the jail term would end the career of anyone else.

Want to be shocked, this is an actual quote I occasionally abbreviate to a tagline. Is that a sick mind or what.

"If she had lived, Mary Jo Kopechne would be 62 years old. Through his tireless work as a legislator, Edward Kennedy would have brought comfort to her in her old age."
- Charles Pierce in a January 5 Boston Globe Magazine article.

Actually Hunters are a strange breed and I could never see how they could be out in the cold and wet all day and night, sitting in the tree stand just waiting for Bambi to show up. I know of a Person I shall not name who actually was so fanatic about getting his deer that he suffered for Hours in a tree stand with acute appendicitis, and had to be taken out of the tree by the Paramedics and rushed to the Hospital for emergency Surgery. I think he loves Venison so much he would do anything to keep himself stocked up on it. By the way Mary Jo would have been 66 or 65 this year. I believe she was only 28 or 29 in 1969 when she was left to die by the Swimmer.

Why birds? They are easier to hunt and you can get alot more of them. Plus you don't have to worry as much about someone hitting your dogs as much by accident.
