Good Monday morning, once again, fellow political jinkies. The NFL season may be over, but the political season inside the Beltway is 24/7/365. So join us, if you can, as those wacky Dems on the Senate Judiciary committee reprise their pitiful efforts to once again smear President Bush and score political points..
Where was the outrage from senators who knew about this surveillance before the NYT broke this story, since they are so outraged now?! Love it!
I wish Gonzales had mentioned Clinton, Eschelon, etc.
I believe that was Reagan...
BIden likes the sound of his own voice. He'll ramble......
"No outrage expressed by those in Congress who did have the information about NSA until the NYT published"..(Yeah but Rockefeller made a memo to HIMSELF!)
From a purely political perspective, the issue is great for Republicans (although terrible for the country, because of the damage done by the leak.)
Democrat Senators making themselves look pathetic today. Both funny and sad at the same time.
Perhaps saving that for an answer to a D senator..
Grassley mentioned that Massoui's computer couldn't be examined pre 9/11.
Don't get too excited. The MSM will spin this in the Dems direction.
True..I would prefer that we did not have this political plus.
The Dems don't realize it, but I think they are strengthening the 2nd amendment. I don't own a gun, yet. But, I think I need to go to my local gunshop and buy one, along with all the ammo I can afford. They seem to want America a more dangerous a place to live.
Biden was rational. Years ago. Before the hairplugs impacted his cerebral cortex.
Always a good point.
Yep.

Gonzales Faces Tough Questions on Spying
By KATHERINE SHRADER, Associated Press Writer 26 minutes ago
I gotta believe that came from limp noodle Bill Nelson (D-FL). WFLA really likes sucking up to him for some reason.
Grassley prompting Gonzales to go over some more court decisions which are part of the legal groundwork for today's actions. Gonzales laying out the broad and long history...
So we can expect to see this in the AP releases and the NY Times headline tomoroow....NOT!!!
Gonzalez is such a gentleman, that the Dems see his demeanor as a weakness. They are going to come away from this hearing today with their heads spinning! I wish I was a cartoonist to draw them staggering away from the chamber.
Switched over to MessNBC during the break, and they were doing exactly what you said. But nobody watches them anyway. And, since the country doesn't believe the MSM anymore, it really doesn't matter what they say. Far more important is what gets broadcast on Rush and Hannity.
