It wasn't one poster in particular, just a general observation of some of the responses to others who questioned some of the calls. Are you worried I was referring to you? BTW, I'm not a Seattle fan, I'm a Colts' fan and yes, that was a horrible call during the Colts/Steelers game.
Most of the calls I hear Seattle fans complaining about were not bad calls. The interference call was a MUST call (he pushed the defender backwards). The hold was a MUST call (he kept the defender from making a sack). Those were critical plays, but they were not bad calls, Seattle players clearly broke the rules in ways that changed the course of the play, that's why those penalties are in the books.
Think of this: The AFC has some of the best young QB's in the game:
BRADY- last time I checked he's still on the right side of 30.
BIG BEN- Super Bowl champ at age 23. 22-4 as a starting QB.
PALMER- Has the tools AND the playmakers to boot.
BREES-Continues to mature.
No wonder why the AFC keeps winning SB's!!!!
Wahhh! Wahhh!
Why would I be a crybaby when I didn't have a dog in the fight?
I have no idea. Why don't you explain it yourself?
What do they do on the Puppy Bowl?
It looks like I wasn't really here all evening. All my clicked links have gone back to virgins!
Dude. Just damn.
< |:)~
I do think the whopperettes all jumping on the burger patty at the end was pure over the top comedy.
Probably one of the best comedic moments of all the superbowl commercials.
Looks like the Seahawks are sinking below the waves in your graphic, One4Indictment. The Seahawks were splendid this season just not quite good enough. Better luck next year, dude.
I'm glad you didn't mention, "Cut that meat!" Manning.
I *loved* the Whopperettes, but they didn't wind up on my top 3 list. I loved their clothes and wish I could've been the producer on that shoot!
D-caf! D-caf! D-caf!
I don't think they were obviously the better team. They bit hard on two gadget plays and gave away a lot of 2nd half runs (not just the Willie Parker run, look at the Pitt possession after that). I think Seattle was obviously a very good team, but I don't think it's obvious one way or the other which team was better.
I think Holmgren's game plan was fine, they kept getting stopped because they kept botching it. They seemed to be able to get to scoring range nearly at will but just couldn't get the biscuit in the bucket.
I wasn't posting to the thread...these threads move to fast for me to post...I just read them. So I know you weren't talking about me.
I'm a Broncos fan, so I didn't care too much about this game. I just watched it for enjoyment.
I don't exactly see the liberal link here, but nice stretch.
You're incorrect.....it was Holmgren's preparation that led to them dominating the game statistically. They were able to run the ball better than most against Pittsburgh, and they gave Hbeck time to throw. Defensively, they held Pittsburgh in check against the run & pass. What do you mean he lost it...he out prepared Cower big time.
Yes, there were clock errors and bringing Stevens into the mix was necessary....he just dropped osme balls. Holmgren did an excellent job of coaching to get them ready for this. They were 4 pt uncderdogs for crying out loud.
That's *it*? Sounds just like the XL!
"Will you sign my melon? It's P-E-Y..." :)
