It's true that the NFC is viewed as a weaker league right now, but it's not like the Seahawks can reject the schedule the league puts in front of them...you play all the teams on your schedule, rather they are good or bad. Although, people were saying the Hawks would lose to the Redskins and they beat them even without Alexander, then they said the Panthers would not only beat the Hawks but win the Super Bowl...then after the Hawks beat them the old saw that they never played anyone good continued. But what about those teams that were supposed to be better than they were...weren't they "good"? I know people viewed the Panthers as good. Supposedly the Hawks were not supposed to be able to do anything against that defense...same thing was said about the Steelers defense, but the Hawks had the time of possession and moved the ball pretty well...they just didn't get points. I do think they'll keep Alexander.
"Yeah, rusted out old steel mills and angry union losers in a polluted once important city....
Anyone fool enough to live in a wasted out old shell of a city like that deserves it.
I bet the mullet looks good in the back though."
You're wrong. Pittsburgh is a beautiful city, and furthermore, the people there are wonderful and kind! I can tell you don't live there.
Congratulations to the Steelers!
Penalties killed every Seattle drive; at the very least, the refs took 14 points away from the Hawks. And what was the margin of victory?
It's great that we got there. The refs stunk, but we probably lost to them anyway.
It's too bad we couldn't have said we just lost, without feeling like the refs were against us from the beginning.
But there it is. At least we got to play there.
Ahh, but winners of the Draft Choice Bowl! Don't forget that. Wish I could get into cheering for them, but just can't.
Yep, who do you think set them up to it? The commissioner? Thats my guess, I think we need an investigation. Why did they have those goofy refs on the field? No Bernie Kukar or Ed Hocculi their BEST refs, they settled for some dolt that they could pay off.
But you missed the streaker lamb and the baby Clydesdale!
The streaker lamb was great!!
HEADLINES: Reffing of Superbowl Transparent: Parallels With Recent Exposure of Major News Media Bias. Refs to Steelers like Rather, Jennings, and Brokaw are to Liberals.....SUBJECVTIVE: SuperBowl Credibility Comes Into Question For First Time Since Its Inception.
Although, you won't see that in the headlines.
Really now, Refs are only human and there were some REALLY BIAS calls against the Seahawks during some momentumus plays. Refs were blind to foul play against the Steelers. Seahawks outplayed Pittsburgh defensively and offensively. The only thing they had on their side was the Refs. This was the DooperPlate, not the SuperBowl.
Just like the transparency of the SCOTUS, refs were SCrOTUmleSs,......
I hope Rush is not too proud to admit it. Come one Rush!.....Admit it!
I vote for the bursting breast #1 and Streaking sheep #2.
I am not into conspiracy theories, but I think it could have been payback for what Holgren did after the officials admitted messing up during the game with the Giants.

If they did, I didn't hear it. I taped the entire game, so I'll run it back to find out if that was done. I just hope they did. Harvey Martin is the only MVP or co-MVP that has died. What a dubious distinction for Dallas to have.
I agree that the Hawks missed some plays; Stevens had some drops, but there was also one clear hold against him that wasn't called. But the killer calls were the DJ push-off (ticky-tack) and the tick-tack hold on the Stevens catch at the 2. It was a close enough game that the Hawks couldn't recover from those two.
I really liked the one where they flagged Hasselbeck for a personal foul for a low block, when he was actually making a legal tackle after an interception. My buddy and I looked at each other and said "this thing is rigged".
They won the game, but they beat the #6 seed so.. ehhh who cares like I said Super Bowl Xtra Lame
But did you see which ad the B-school students voted "best"?
Dove Self-Esteem
Were you actually watching the game?
I agree. Those 2 calls were game breakers.
