" A good team can always overcome poor reffing."
Damn straight!
I have a great hangover recipe for anyone who wants it! :D
Thanks for the confirmation...hence the "fumble" by Hasselbeck was down by contact and changed back. It just seemed like that was about the only "good call" the Hawks got...and all it did was fix a bad call, it didn't give them an unearned break. Well, it's in the books now, good bad or indifferent. Do you suppose the Hawks earned any respect for their performance?
but congrats Steeler Fans
Sad to say, but I agree. I have not been much of a football fan at all, but I watched this with a bunch of diehard football fans and they left with 2+ minutes left in this game saying much the same things.
People will watch true competition, but when the game is rigged, that's another matter.
It's terrible. The Steelers have waited a long time for a Super Bowl. This is not the one they waited for. I hate it for Bill Cowher also. He is a nice guy and a good coach. The Steeler might have won this game straight up, but now they have a tainted one. Somebody should be dragged out and stripped of their striped uniform to do this.
I hadn't planned on Schadenfruede but I am certainly starting to lean in that direction, given the Seattle Temper Tantrums were are seeing here.
The non-call on Stevens fumble actually helped the Steelers; they would have got the ball inside the 20; as it was, they got a little better field position after the ensuing punt.
Well, Seattle pretty much dominated the first half of play. They moved the ball with relative ease, but just couldnt finish up strong on anything. Josh Brown missing those 2 long FGs didnt help either...JFK
Rush Limbaugh is the best political analyst in America and he is right over 95% of the time unlike your liberal media who analyze the news based on what they see in their wet dreams and live in delusion and alternate reality. Your liberal media is wrong over 95% of the time. He knows you liberals very well and it kills you that he is by far the most powerful talk show host in the country. Rush Limbaugh is your worst nightmare.
The most telling part was the the Head Linesman came running in from the sideline with his right arm raised (indicating ball down outside the end zone for our non-hardcore fans), then suddenly changed his mind well AFTER the play and called touchdown. I agree that the replay did not show enough to reverse the call on the field. But, IMO the call on the field was suspect.
You can stop there.
It's been twenty-six years since Pittsburgh held this honor. At least now the young people here can know what it means to be Super Bowl champs. One for the thumb!
I think the MVP for the Pittsburgh Stealers should have been the officials.
The officiating was horrible, once again. It's too bad because it could have been a good game.
Congrats to all Steelers fans!
No visual evidence to prove otherwise. Tough call, but I think the right one.
We'll never actually know. But it wasn't the travesty everyone is saying. The ball has to touch that line in the plane......just touch it.
DJ stuck his arm out, but you can see that it had no impact on the defender. And - I will reiterate - just before that, the defender had grabbed DJ.
