If you think this thread is something, you should have seen his attitude
during the Patriots humiliation.

"That says 11/27/05.....today is 2/05/06.."
I know. I figured I might as well use that image once after I went through the trouble of photoshopping it. The Seahawks didn't even lose on November 27, 2005.

I turned it off too. If there is any justice, Hasselbeck should be named MVP anyway. He was the best player on the field. And the Seahawks showed themselves to clearly be the better team - they just never had a chance since that first "holding" call on the first drive

Agreed, there were some bad calls, especially in the first half. I'm proud of the way my team played today even if they lose.

Will the big guns of sports talk ignore this? Dan Patrick, Jim Rome et al?
I'm not a fan of either team, but this is beyond anything I've ever seen in a football game in 20 years of watching.

It wouldn't matter, the winner of this game was determined a few weeks ago. The Seahawks have just played into the hands of the media and refs. This is disgusting. The profiles of all the Steeler players that they showed is proof of the prejudice.

Except to Steelers fans! They can't see the obvious! Poor reffing job is what cost the seahawks the game - not the steelers. They know the game was BS and that the refs won the game for them but they will never admit it.

OK - I missed that. The announcer recognized them but not the Super Bowl itself?

So who gets the MVP? Anybody looked at the QB stats? Ben R's numbers are crap- 9/21 for 123 yds and 2 ints. Hassslebeck's are actually pretty fair- 25/44 for 257. with 1 td and 1 int.
I'm guessing Willie Parker or Heinz Ward. Seattle fans will say the Refs deserve it.
To: Popman
I've got no horse in this race...Bettis maybe because he went to ND....but these refs have been some of the worst in recent memory. #53 was offside on 2 consecutive plays and the refs called Seattle's right tackle for holding the guy....#55 horse collared Alexander right in front of a ref and there was no call and that drive was completely killed by the refs. Seattle should have scored
Oh.....that Seattle touchdown with the push off was chippy....
To: derllak
... Cheating is not an honorable way to win! :P ...
Pittsburg is not cheating. The Refs perhaps are. But, the Steelers can't change bad calls.
Sad that it ruins the game for all.

The Seahawks coach is prob. still kicking himself for not making better use of those seven seconds left to him in the first half.

My son used to whine about poor reffing when he lost a soccer game. We told him he just didn't score enough goals. A good team can always overcome poor reffing.
