"Some of the best things come in pairs; we at The Gourmet Food Store think three is a better number. So we offer three of the best Danish cheeses in the market: Danish Fontina, Havarti Creamy, and Saga Blue. Havarti Creamy, Denmarks most famous cheese, is semi-soft and tangy, ideal for sandwiches. Danish Fontina, creamy and smooth, is perfect for fondues and as a spread. Or try the extraordinary Saga Blue, a magnificently rich cheese, incredibly versatile and more subtle than other blues."

After about six, your Danish improves too. Watch out for Carlsberg Elefant Øl. It indeed kicks like an Elephant. You must also chase with Aalborg Akvavit out of the freezer. There is a special ceremony or two required for Danish food and drink.
I have a cousin who claims that Amberjack are delicious, but most folks don't like them. Larger amberjacks (such as the one in the photo, which weighed about 50 pounds) often get large parasitic worms in their flesh. The one in the photo was returned to the sea after the picture was taken.
Members of the jack family vary in their table quality. Jack crevalles and horse-eye jacks are inedible. Pompano, at the other end of the scale, are gourmet fare. Blue runners and Pacific yellowtail are also quite good, and are often found on the menu in sushi restaurants. I'm particularly fond of yellowtail.
Please don't tell me that it's shaudenfreude...
My Dad would take us fishing in Fort Lauderdale for Yellow Jack and Pompano. We caught them with squid, off he Dania Pier. What did you use?
Say it like this: Jeg har tømmermand!
Too funny, I work at a wood flooring company. I am surrounded by carpenters with pnuematic hammers...
That's a purty red "x."
Mrs. jimfree and I are up for this. We haven't yet found the Danish cookies tin or the Dak hams. We'll keep looking. If you know a store that features these products we would appreciate the word.
liberal little Denmark
Denmark is ruled by the conservatives, NOT by the liberals!!!
I will be buying Danish this week. Thanks for the list. I was intending to score some Danish blue cheese and some cookies.
Hitman series of computer games is also from there.
Already bought some Havarti cheese...need new shoes so will buy a pair of Ecco's this week...for Bloody Mary fans out there, try something different and replace your vodka with Aquavit from Denmark for a 'Danish Mary'...eat herring from Denmark...buy Carlsberg or Tuborg beer...schedule a vacation to Copenhagen and see Tivoli Gardens...buy Danish Butter cookies...buy a Danish flag or Google it and print it and bring it to your place of work or put it on your window...
Veden Gordy!
How do you say, "It's all good," in Danish?
