[history]
Good morning, all.
Join us today for the final victory lap, the vote to "confirm Samuel Alito, of New Jersey, to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court."
It's all over except the final vote tally.
Lots of surprises yesterday at the HUGE vote to impose cloture, so perhaps there are still some surprise votes to come?

That he received 49M votes is a stain on the nation.

I'd love to see Ann Coulter nominated to the SCOTUS. LOL, can you imagine these confirmation hearings? Of course that's never going to happen but isn't it nice to dream once in a while?
My husband and I were talking about that yesterday. That would be the final nail in the DUmmies coffins.

I don't know much about her, but Janis Rogers Brown seems to be a winner.

My vote for biggest losers are the two senators from Judge Alito's home state that voted against him.
I am very hopeful that it will come back and bite them this November.

As a side note and speaking of Frist.
Frist was on F&F a little while ago. They asked him about Reid and his 'culture of corruption' and Reublicans and Abramaoff statements. I should have written it down as I don't remember exactly what Frist said but IMHO he did a very good job and mentioned that the Dims have received a lot of Abramoff-connected money. The transcript isn't on foxnews.com yet, but maybe it'll be up there tomorrow.
More info on Dims and $$s on this thread:
