Good morning, all.
Join us today for the final victory lap, the vote to "confirm Samuel Alito, of New Jersey, to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court."
It's all over except the final vote tally.
Lots of surprises yesterday at the HUGE vote to impose cloture, so perhaps there are still some surprise votes to come?

So, they'd rather be hiding out than voting and doing their duty for their constituents?

I'm really glad that Landrieu voted NO. The more ammo that we can get on her the better. She is already carrying the baggage from the prior votes on the fillibusters of Appeals Court judges. This can only help. The overriding principal is to get rid of her.

Seems like the Dems are holding back so they can have a soundbyte of a bunch of 'NOs'.
