Good morning, all.

Join us today for the final victory lap, the vote to "confirm Samuel Alito, of New Jersey, to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court."

It's all over except the final vote tally.

Lots of surprises yesterday at the HUGE vote to impose cloture, so perhaps there are still some surprise votes to come?

Excuse me. Just inserting a little happy dance here.

It's a good day to be conservative. And it's a good day to be GOP. Next...watch the President kick a little backside this evening.

There are two swearing-in's for a SCOTUS Justice. First is usually with the President and is public, followed by lunch at the WH.

Second is private and is in the Supreme Court with the other Justices.

Schumer!

What can you say about this joke of a man. No integrity! No principle! No honesty!

It all comes down Chuckie baby, to who won the election bro!

We win, we choose. You lose!

Nowhere does it say in the Constitution that a nominee has to have the support of 90 Senators.

The ONLY reason Clinton's nominees got such support, is because we had a bunch of gentlemen Republicans averse to playing hardball...playing kissy face with you all.

Times have changed! I don't give a rip if the vote was 55-45. It means nothing but the Democrats got mad they they lost and took their toys and went home.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! All the way back to New York Chuckie, and don't forget to talk on your cell phone in public!

FNC said a few minutes ago that it would be a private ceremony .. I expect it'll be after the journalists' off-the-record lunch I posted above. Wonder if they'll pass each other in the hall?

Congratulations to Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito and family. The Constitution won today! Work kept me from seeing the final vote but thank you Ken for the illuminating FR thread.

It's a good day for those who love, respect and admire the Constitution.

I am hoping that those who do not love, respect, or admire the Constitution get a new introduction to it and at least learn to treasure it.

Happy days are here - enjoy!

LOL.

I am planning on the left training their guns on Cantwell here in Washington State. There could be excellent repercussions from this later this year.

(Crossing fingers and wishing them good luck in influencing the primaries.)

This sounds like an interesting thread. Name the worst Congressional Districts in the US (considering Senators as well).

The top 3 off the top of my head:

- Nancy Pelosi's
- Maxine Water's
- Charlie Rangel's
