If true...the gloves need to COME OFF NOW!!

Calm down - Unison is a manufacturer, and sometimes manufacturers deal with radioactive materials.

Are they thinking that it's an accident or terrorism?

Sorry. I re-read the article. Appears that this was NOT terrorist related, at this point. I guess I'm always a bit suspect in these times.

Radiation is often used in sensing and testing for quality control to find microscopic flaws in welds. In a company like this, that deals with aviation, I would not be surprised if that were the source.

Thanks, OX ... sounds like it's under control and no major risk factors .. if I'm reading it correctly.

"If true...the gloves need to COME OFF NOW!!"

Huh? The radiation comes from the company. Lots of companies deal with radioactive materials. In reality, people will probably be putting their gloves on to work on the cleanup. Wait for the information, and you'll find out the truth, OK?

A lot of manufacturers use low-level sources in their manufacturing processes. If the report that it's a beta source is accurate, it's really a non-issue.
