Where are the Long Island Freepers? I never see any countering the filthy hippie leftovers who appear on every nice weekend on the corner of Rt. 25A in Setauket, with their flag-draped coffins and their signs screaming "Bush lied, kids died!"
Their latest trick is to appear in orange jumpsuits with black underwear on their heads to simulate the "torture" imposed on those poor innocents in Abu Ghraib. I suspect they sort of like the get-up.
I always oblige them with a digital salute, but I feel our side is under-represented here.
Was is Setauket earlier this afternoon. Didn't see anything you mentioned. Is this an everyday thing or just on weekends?
was that YOU that time??
pbbbtt!
I live in Nassau county!
If SK organised a freep, I would go since I live on LI. As long as it's not on days I have to work, I would go. I don't have time to sit around and be a professional protestor. Personally, I am NOT a protesting sort of gal. Doing something meaningful like visiting old veterans around Father's day (which I have done) and all that seems to be more productive IMHO.
I just take it personal when someone from an anti-Freeper site disrupts FR to slander people they are afraid of confronting in person...it's my sensitive side I guess...
That time? Twice. :-)
I took one bottle of water at the Lexington Avenue FReep of the anti-war protesters (did you know that Marilyn Monroe filmed her famous skirt blowing scene from "The Seven Year Itch" across the street from us?). If I recall correctly, you donated the rest of the bottles to the police officers on duty there.
And I took two bottles at the UN protest (where I wore a tie). And I got a complaint: Your water was warm. Next time provide ice for us thieves.
He's more than a typist, and is welcome to move back :)
He is a great tenor, too.
LOL!!
Now, THAT'S sneaky!!
So, that's how you shined Gloria so easily....
I live in New York. On the local level, ideas count for nothing. What conservatives here need to do is raise enough money to buy the legislature.
But the original post was about a demonstration concerning national policy.
I have just posted a few articles about the legislature at both my sites.
One is about the judicary and how the party heads have corrupted the system and are now in court. Another about the leg being briught to court over Medicaid funding and how they use that funding to bloat the assembly using illegals and counting them as citizens to get the money.
We are working on another lawsuit to challenge the Legality of the union contracts when the elected idiots negotiate them, we lose and they benefit.. You are right, Money is what we need and until we can break the backs of these corrupt reps in Albany we are all screwed.
They have done everything they can to shut me up and guess what, I am still standing and will go after them till my dying breath.

I wasn't joking.
I understood the original post to be about the lack of activism of Freepers.
Many of us old timers are tired and don't go out anymore, not because we dont care, but because we didn't have the large following of people standing with us, standing next to us, as we did during Clinton's reign of error. It is a major discouragement, to be alone all the time and yet, there are THOUSANDS of Freepers in the local area that could make even a single trip once a year.
Some have said that we are too old and they feel out of place with us. Fair enough, but the young ones, well, why dont they show up with a young crowd of Freepers then?
My point is: It is easier to get a bunch of Freepers to have lunch than it is to have Freepers show up for a cause on a regular basis.
I totally understand the money thing, the job thing, but there are several hundred of us, even thousands in the New England/Tri State area...and maybe 20 different people who show up within one year...yet if we go out for hot dogs, we
get as many as 50?
If EVERYONE would commit to only 3 Freeps a year, EVERYONE from the New England/Tri-state area, we would have over 2000 people at one singular protest, or 2000 spread over NYC to BOSTON on one single afternoon.
sadly, that's obvious.
He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough.
That comment just proved you are a troll
DC chapter went to Walter Reed because of Code Pink, yes, but that was because until then, there was no need to force ourselves upon the soldiers who are shot up from terrorist sympathizers like you.
DC Chapter was the FIRST FR chapter to hold a SUPPORT THE TROOPS rally in DC, where were you?
NYC Chapter was second I think: WHERE WERE YOU?
It is obvious, it is YOU that have ulterior motives.
The DC Chapter has been around since long before you joined FR.. They are the ones that really started the chapters.
If you have a beef with the DC chapter maybe you should get a hold of Kristin..
Hi Race..
Hello, Mayor, nice to meet you again! :)
