I just heard on the news at the top of the hour that the dems were filibustering. Is this true?"
If it is true then Fat Teddy must be calling in a lot of markers. More and more looking as if the Alitos did know the Kopechnes. That bodes not good for the esteemed senator from Massachusetts.

Not surprising of Michigan. Gov. Granholm(D) gave her state of the state address the other day proclaiming Michigan will be the epicenter of technology. (oh guv, Michigan ranks #1 in unemployment of the 50 states and that was before the Ford pink slips) And their Senators (Levin & Stabenow) are not endearing themselves to the Bush Administration so there is probably not much help coming from that direction either.

"We have 5 Dems who openly state that they oppose the judicial filibuster. There are 44 of them minus 5 leaves 39." This thing will look 60-40 until the vote, then Dems in red states will make a political judgment as will Reps in strong blue states. The most interesting vote will be L. Chaffee's vote as he is facing a tough primary. He's doesn't know whether to scratch his watch or wind his butt. |

Interesting! Makes a good reference when the actual vote comes in.

Fox news just had a screen scroll that Reid would support a filibuster.Yesterday Reid said flat out that the majority leader had allowed ample time for debate on Alito. If he now supports a filibuster he must do so not behind a fig leaf of "we need more time" but as a naked obstructionist tactic. Am I to understand that the Democrats are willing to go on record as doing that??If the "nuclear option" ever might succeed this would be the perfect circumstance for it.

1. Stevens is still holding out for
that "Bridge To Nowhere" in Alaska.
OR
2. He's standing with Chafee and Snowe
and will cast his vote in the full Senate
count Tuesday. These people get lots of
phone calls from both parties...drives their
aides nuts, but makes them feel more important
than they are!

Governor Granholm (the canadian) also claims thousands of jobs have been created in mich. We would like to know where these jobs are. Ever since this woman was elected she has blamed someone else for michigan's problems, yet she has had over three years to make a difference and we still have the worst economy in the country.

The Republicans will call a cloture vote by Tuesday. It will pass. This is all nonsense signifying nothing.

The DUcks and KO's are starting to eat their children.
An excerpt from KO's...
(It is becoming increasingly obvious to me that we are engaged in a civil war with the media. We have to continue to challenge them EVERY time they parrot a GOP talking point. Make them fear our side's screaming as much as they fear that of the right. This poll on Kerry on CNN is total bullshit, and Katie Couric this morning makes me want to puke.)
They are in total meltdown, deprive Rats of food and they eat their young. This is just too much fun to watch...lol

:-) That's great! He will force the Beast to vote yes or no on filibuster and then he can campaign against her in the primaries. Mark Levin says he's a D student (and he's right). If he's a D, then she's a D minus.
LOL! stupid hillary.
