The Senate meets at noon today, again in Executive Session, for the 3rd day of debate on the nomination of Samuel Alito to SCOTUS. Not sure, what, if anything, will happen today..Will there be a filabuster?..will anyone show up..might be work while checking out the beginning of the session, to get the lay of the land....

Xactly. I posted on another thread that all they need is a poll showing American's are split... 50-50 on Alito. That would be enough 'cover' for them to do their shameless business.

Weekend polls are perfect for that outcome.

I'd forgotten about how those polls gets skewed over the weekend in the Democrat's favor. But I'm glad you remember so come Monday morning, you can calm us all down if it's looking bad. LOL

The moonbats at DU actually think this is a Constitutional Crisis. They'll be pounding their keyboards, making phone calls and foaming at the mouth while calling CSPAN with their message. Eventually someone desperate for votes will slip the phrase out in the media. The problem is, they don't see the crisis for what it is. To them it's a crisis because they can't have what they want...power.

The nomination will still be up for debate. Cloture requires 3/5 of those present to vote for.

I caught myself thinking about Jim Jeffords as I looked at C-Span 2's Y/N column. He's got to feel soooooooo irrelevant, his vote so unimportant, and who cares what he has to say anyway....about anything? I bet he can't even remember why he pimped himself out to the Democrats.
