There was plenty of protest, but I think Daniel cancelled itself with a weak script, unappealing characters, lousy acting, and the general negative feeling that pervaded the show.

I'm shedding a tiny, tiny tear as I realize that I shall never have the chance to view Mr. Kenny's "beautiful show." What a treasure has been lost. Hark! What is that I hear? Could it be the sound of the world's smallest violin playing?

Thankfully that trash the West Wing is being cancelled too.

Meanwhile, at Houston's local channel 2 (KPRC), they have cancelled the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon after 37 years. As a Republican, I am all for business. However, when they cancel something that helps so many (this telethon helps fund the ALS clinic at Methodist, not to mention research for 40 horrid neuromuscular diseases, camp for Jerry's kids, and the list goes on and on), because of their Katrina telethons earlier in the year and their crappy programs that keep getting cancelled, I'm a little bitter.

Cancellations have been fast and furious in the past few days. On ABC, "Emily's Reasons Why Not" was cancelled after only one episode. Also cancelled on ABC was "Jake in Progress."

TNT cancelled the drama "Wanted," while NBC has cancelled "West Wing" and "Will & Grace" following this season. It's also unlikely "Surface" will return next year.

"Malcolm in the Middle" and "That 70's Show" on FOX are done when the season ends.

From watching the previews, I thought it would be cancelled because it looked like it sucked...

"Ordinarily, I would never ask anyone to do this, but the AFA and bullies like them are hard at work to try and prevent you from seeing these beautiful shows, and that is censorship—pure and simple. And that is both un-Christian and un-American," Kenny wrote.

His attitude is typical in today’s society. Non-Christians telling Christians what is Christian.

Well, Kenny's not acting like a gay man either... (time to turn the tables - let's define how gays are supposed to act)

This show was protested more than most and that certainly had an effect; bad as the show was they probably would have kept it through the first eight episodes as part of their standard anti-Christian fare.

What amazes me is that "Da Vinci Code" was not protested and stores boycotted. That is just as offensive if not more than a TV show. When it came out, I expected it to be pulled from grocery stores due to complaints but perhaps stay in bookstores. I sure didn't expect it to sell so much!

I guess certain things strike people the wrong way way more than others.

"His attitude is typical in today’s society. Non-Christians telling Christians what is Christian."

Amen to that.

The ONLY time many people seem to care about Christianity, including a dedicated handful on this forum, is when they point out what a poor job someone who identifies them self as Christian is doing of demonstrating their beliefs...usually inadvertently demonstrating their own complete lack of understanding of what living the Christian life is about.

"Your efforts, combined with those of hundreds of thousands of other AFA Online supporters, had an impact."

Naw, I don't think NBC needed anyone's help in killing this dreck off - it would have committed suicide sooner if there hadn't been all the fuss made about it (it only got reasonable ratings its first week because of the pub it got from this campaign).

I'd be curious to see the ratings. I suspect that is more of the cause than the boycott. A boycott by Christians would incline NBC to keep it on the air just to claim they are standing up to censorship.

Personally, I'm of the belief that we are actually better served by letting the public see Hollyweird's hatred for Christianity. They really shot themselves in the foot by complaining about "The Passion of the Christ". And they got no traction with "The Last Temptation of Christ". It's not a memorable movie. I think that attempts to censor their crap only publicizes them that much more -- and convinces some people in the middle that Christians are angry and intolerant. Which, of course, isn't really true.

Sorry about the dumb question, but what exactly was this show about?
