A cautionary note for those watching the TV coverage: the totals show which party is leading each riding, not which ridings have been called. Some of them are based on very fragmentary returns.

That said, glad to see that the Tories have nosed ahead for now. Just don't get too euphoric too early.

My local tv station's election coverage has a panel talking about Harper and how he is going to choose his cabinet...

It's seems like it's actually happening!!! Peter Manbridge (CBC liberal commentator) looks deeply depressed.

And these postings don't even really tell you that. They don't mean much because you can't see whether the results for the particular seats reported represent gains or losses for each party over previous election. The only non-meaningless results are reported in the form of -3 +5 etc.. that show you whether the seats are gains or losses over previous election.
