If JimRob, etc. approve this is the Live Thread for the Canadian General Election, on January 23rd, 2005.
We have a while to go before the returns start coming in, but I thought the thread needed to get up and running.
It is almost global with more conservative based governments winning around the world.
I be the global communists/socialists are wetting their pants tonight.
They close the collective farms early to get all the Liberal voters to the polls.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
I noticed sometimes the TV showed these numbers followed by +3 or -2 etc.. indicating whether the particular seat changes represented gains or losses for the party, can you find a source reporting those
Except that there's this little law which says they can't pos results on any website until 10pm ET.

Don't panic yet. The returns roll in east to west. The country gets progressively more conservative as you move west. Until the Left Coast, that is. Even that's more conservative than the East coast, Ontario, or Quebec.
Early returns are from the Eastern provinces, which are leftist strongholds.
I'm in the US so...
Oh Lord, I feel like I'm on a roller coaster. There are some good folks in Quebec. They recognize THIEVES and CORRUPTION and reward them accordingly. It looks like Quebec is willing to give the Conservatives a chance.
Harper played well with the Quebecois.
GOD, I hate Mansbridge. He's the Dan Rather of Canada. Why doesn't he farking retire already.

Is there any danger that Bloc Quebec would throw in with the Liberals?
