Cool! I wish CPAC would show the crowd at Harper's headquarters instead of the suits in the studio.
To: concrete is my business
IMO, The funny thing is that private healthcare will be opening soon, and I'm sure that Michael Moore will be going to great lengths preaching how great public is.

Tempting but that'd lose him the "BQ Dudes" he probably needs for support as it looks like a minority gov't.

Now can you try and get rid of your liberal media?Maybe we can trade our MSM for theirs? Surely the liberal Canadian MSM can't be nearly as bad as ours, can it?

To the Canadaians on here Steyn made this comment
---10.30pm EST
If I were an anglo Montrealer - which, come to think of it, I am - I'd be seriously wondering at this stage of the evening exactly what the point is of my unshakeable till-the-last-dog-dies loyalty to the Liberal Party. Anglos are out of step not just with francophone federalists but with anglo Canada, too.---
Now it has seemed to me since that last close vote I guess it was in the late 80's I believe early 90's but the time that Quebec Seccession went down by some sort of raser thin margin that a threat of Quebec leaving Canada diminishes every year. Again maybe not but i dont seems to hear the same passion about it. Does Steyns comments mean that many people voted liberal so to have a force to oppose this seccession movement. And if thats true does that mean what he is saying that people who are voting liberal are prob conservative in outlook and should come on over? Clueless really but curious what he meant

Here he comes folks! Our new Prime Minister!

Michael Moore will never let the facts get in the way of a good argument or a fat paycheck.
To: plushaye
It helps to be telegenic in politics.Yup! That's why America's hunky heartthrob Michael Moore was so wildly successful in convincing Americans to put Kerry into office, and to convince Canadians to retain Martin.

Finally, Prime Minister Harper is headed for the stage. I feel better already. (The MSM has just been blathering on and on about how well the NDP & Liebs did tonite) Of course, if this result were predicted in November 2005, we'd all be blown away.

Stephen Harper now on tv, shaking hands... He's looking good.
He will be the 5th youngest Prime Minister at 46 years old.

Another question from a clueless American. Earlier they were talking about how the current Canadian ambassador to the US could be the new leader of the LIberal party. I guess in most Parlementary systems in seems a elected offical has from Parliment has always been the leader. So from these comments does that mean an non elected person can be head of a party in a Parlimentarty system?
To: MEG33
He doesn't work the rope line as well as President Bush though. ;-)
