Apparently this lurker was lured out of his liberal shell by your name: "Ashamed Canadian" and your tagline: "(America - please invade us now!!)
Ashamed Canadian - seeing that most Canadian fiberals have no idea what sarcasm is maybe you can change your tagline tomorrow to something they will understand. How about this?
(Paul Martin - Bwaaaaaaaaahhh)

A good friend of mine, Bob Reid, former press secretary to Conservative Ontario Premier Mike Harris, will be on both CFRB and Global TV tonight covering the election. I'll probably be in our local pub (Gabby's Bistro on Eglinton Ave E) watching the returns with his wife (who babysits my cat when I'm travelling).
CFRB.com is definately a good place for any FReeper who is interested and their streaming infrastructure is excellent so reliability should be good.

I sincerely hope that the Liberals are tossed out on their ear this evening! My thoughts and prayers are with our Conservative friends to the north tonight.
I would wager that the softwood lumber dispute would be settled to everybody's satisfaction not too soon after Harper is selected as PM.

St Andrews is a beautiful part of NBMy wife and I were on the first public tour of Minister's Island back in '96 . William Van Horne's estate , the American engineer who built the CPR . Drove across when tide was out to get to it. Beautiful country there.

If it weren't for people like Ashamed Canadian and the many others who blog out there in cyberspace then we wouldn't be having an election right now and that lying scumbag Martin would be in power for many years to come.
Canadian's aren't posting on here for American sympathy, but to spread the word about the Canadian fiberal corruption scandals. Afterall, knowledge is power and it was an American blogger who ultimately brought down the Martin government.

Will the new government get rid of the Maple Leaf flag and restore the old one?
To: fanfan
Perhaps after Harper is elected tonight, Canadian coins wont need to be called "Loonies" and "Toonies" any longer??

I'm hoping that we'll see a very high turnout, 25% higher advance poll voting than the last election, right when the Conservatives were peaking in the polls. A good sign for a big turnout and a Tory win. Fingers crossed.
Maybe as many as 162 seats. If Quebec rolls huge, 168 is not out of the question if Toronto breaks in some key ridings (155 for majority for my US FRiends).

I've just returned from doing my civic duty in the Ontario riding of Sarnia-Lambton. Cheers, FRiend! My family owned the Vanitie Shoppe on Christina St for about 30 years or so. Grew up in Chatham. Good to see another local Canuck freeper on board!

Where you can also find an American Democratic darling, the
Democratic Socialists of America, which seems remarkably similar to the
National Socialist German Workers (Nazi) party.
