Al and Tipper's problem is that they're part of the cult of "no controlling legal authority "(Al gore to then-candidate Bush....third debate, IIRC) otherwise known as the Democrat party. They have sold their souls for political gain and went straight into moral bankruptcy and they're to self-deluded to realize it.

As for their son's accident, everying knows he's maniac behind the wheel. His parents should have taken the boy in hand instead of forcing the media to gag all reports of high speed car chases and not paid off authorities to drop DUI charges against him. In fact, I remember when Al's half starved, filthy poodle was finally found wandering around DC and THEN Al said "he/she was lost and we've been looking for him/er! Yeah, that's the ticket!" even though nobody in DC even knew Al's dog was missing.

You can tell a lot about people by the way they treat their kids and pets.

Yes that is true, he has gotten into so much trouble that has mostly been covered up,but the poor kid was only in Elementary School when he was struck and almost killed by a car. I know that they may have tried to do things to keep him under control, but he was caught drinking and smoking dope neither of which will help a still developing/recovering, damaged brain. I sincerely hope that they can find a way to help him before he really messes up, but they are not much good to themselves how can they help him?
