Don't have any of the Byrds stuff. Used to have it on wax and never replaced the records with CD's. Sure would like that live Dylan tribute show with everyone playing on it like Roger McGuinn. Dylan's birthday, I think." That show is this- click-
Bob Dylan 30 th Anniversary Concert It is on video, I recorded the pay per view show LIVE, and it has a couple of songs that didn't make it on the video, including one of the best performances of the night- George Harrison - Absolutely Sweet Marie...I have been doing this for awhile. LOL

I thought that too.
Years ago, I saw BB King and some old cracker trading notes on a late night show as I was channel surfing.
Turned out to be the Charlie Rose show, IIRC, no matter, the geezer made BB King look like he was playing with 9 thumbs or something.
It was Chet Atkins a few years before he passed.

A lot of the "virtuoso" guitar players seem to be circle pickers.

So, that concert is on VHS tape. Explains why I couldn't find it on CD Universe.

I've always thought 'A Day At The Races' was The Sgt. Pepper of the band's portfolio.

First rock album? Hmm. The standard answer is "Abbey Road" by the Beatles, but I'm pretty sure the Beach Boys used one on "Wild Honey." Hmm. Now I'm not sure at all...

I've always thought 'A Day At The Races' was The Sgt. Pepper of the band's portfolio. Darn fine album. Listened to it earlier today, in fact. I wish Queen + PR were coming closer to Texas...

Here's a hint: The year was 1972, a double album and the Moog was played by someone you would think of as a guitar player.

"Here Comes the Sun". I like HCTS, but I've never been "wowed" by it. Capo 7th fret, pick around the D-shape with lots of arpeggios. Cool tune, great organ/synth work.

Here's a hint: The year was 1972, a double album and the Moog was played by someone you would think of as a guitar player. With all due respect, that can't be right. "Abbey Road" and George Harrison's "Electronic Music" (his all Moog Zapple album) were both 1969. "Wild Honey" was 1967, although I'm not sure the sound they used was a Moog. Are you sure you don't mean 1962? Was the Moog invented then?

I hate to admit it,but I kinda liked them in their cheesy 70s Jefferson Starship incarnation. Is that worse than admitting to liking some Eagles music?not at all. I think Red Octopus turned out to be their biggest seller. I still listen to Miracles when I need a mello retroblast

I don't have a list of requests...
I have learned thru experience that you allow trading partners to pick their best stuff...
You know what is outstanding in your collection and a wise trading partner will respect and defer to your selections. ; )

Where is Django Reinhardt? Django could have played circles around Page, Clapton etc any day of the week. The ridiculous hype that surrounds rock guitarists is absolutely astonishing.

Actually, it looks like it isn't right. I read in "Rolling Stone" many years ago that the Stephen Stills with his band Manassas were the first to use the Moog, but on the web it give credit to none other than the "Monkees" as coming out with the first "popular" album with the Moog on it.
Oh, well.
