Maybe the Dems could pry into Alito's video rentals.Word is that Schumer has a crack "credit report" unit at his disposal.

Just a question. Anyone know why Alito's wife's last name isn't Alito?

Is she afraid Alito won't let unmarried women get charge cards?

Good.
Specter gets it.
We have a deep stable of good Judges to bring up if they refuse to confirm the eminently qualified Alito. Some of them do walk the fine line that one action would tip them into conservative activist. Alito doesn't walk that line. They aren't going to have a more impartial Judge then Alito. Instead they'll get undeniably conservative options. If Specter doesn't support Alito, someone he can have confidence will at least not pussue activism on the bench, it would reveal himself a very foolish man. I just don't think he is that stupid. Some of the Democrats are, but if the situations were reversed I'd take an impartial qualified judge that will lean Liberal if there is a grey area vs a Ginsberg activist.

What keeps committee members from falling out of their chairs in disbelief when kennedy speaks on the dignity of women? Do they have seatbelts?

I think she is saying that the right to a charge card hinges on the right to have an abortion...or something.

Any Republican that votes against Alito is headed for the political graveyard IMO. It's time for the RINOS to step up to the plate.

I wondered why she didn't just kill her youngest child and that would have made her life even easierI guess it might have been okay to do that, as long as she did it privately
Kennedy to Michelman: that was a splendid performance on "Meet the Press."
Kennedy asks Michelman to tell us how dignified it is to kill the helpless.
Micheman: I was unable to get a credit card in 1969 because I was unmarried
Syriacus: I was able to get a credit card in 1969, even though I wasn't married.

I didn't notice that when C-span highlighted (soundbited) the Specter-Kennedy exchange they bothered to mention Alito was not connected with the papers. No, they didn't mention it, they just played the whole exchange between them.
At least C-Span is not like FNC and CNN, who tell you what you just heard and what that might mean. :)
