I am only on very briefly. Things are going well in New Delhi -- once I got here, but that's another story (albeit a small one). The show yesterday looked mildly busy, but they called it slow. Uh oh... And at that they've burned through my business cards faster than I'd thought possible. Drivers here are insane; there must be rules else they'd all be dead -- I think I understand but no way am *I* going to drive here!
I speak at the conference tomorrow, and after discussing it with some colleagues over dinner (can I say: Indian Indian food is much better even than American Indian food?) last night I decided to add a brief couple of items, so I had to go online.
Hope you're doing well, and will try to catch up when more time avails itself on this end.
Welcome to the Undead Thread! The troll has been gleefully paved 1900 times and counting, but you're welcome to join us here in the Flying Castle, if you wish.
We always have something new and er...interesting to talk about. Sometimes. Maybe.
Oh... I thought I was being emasculated again!!
Hey!
Yes, the food is delicious!
And I know exactly what you mean about the drivers: Remember, I was in Rawalpindi and Islamabad!
Take care of you, and we'll see you when you get back. Post when you can.
XO
Waving furiously.
Close your eyes while in taxi's.
It will bother you much less .
I think we're supposed to have 71 or something. No rain. *sigh*
WOO-HOO! Las Vegas got snow today!! Only in the western suburbs, because they are quite a bit higher than other places, but you know the folks are not happy with it!
Snow in the desert...Whoo, Hoo....
HEHEHE, Vegas with snow!!
Goodnight, FRiends!!
Yep. It DOES happen! I just wasn't living there, this time!
'Night, Irish!

The light flickers in shades of red and darkness. Screams of tortured souls fill the endless night.
In the stillness, there is movement. A ragged, skeletal figure stealthily approaches the softly chuckling Coke machine.
In the stifling heat, droplets of condensation whisper promises of the coolness within. The figure looks around in fear, rising slowly. With trembling hands, it feeds coins into the coin slot. One by one, the coins go in, as the tortured figure looks around guardedly.
Suddenly the machine stirs to life. Whirring and clacking, issuing noises like a riot in a bowling alley, the machine shakes and rocks back and forth. The figure shrinks back, holding its emaciated hands up as if to ward off the onslaught of noise.
On the ridge of the hillside, two Demons arise, looking around as if for a lost sheep. With Demonic agility, they leap from rock to rock in utter disregard of safety.
Immediately they grasp their screeching quarry, and begin hauling the pitiful wretch back to its doom.
Eventually, the machine stops its clanking, and settles into silence. At even intervals, a coin is ejected forcefully from the coin slot, sailing out into the darkness, bouncing and rolling into crevices around the hillside.
The demonic Coke machine settles into quiescence, softly chuckling in its cold mechanical heart.
(I just wanted to post it again so I would be able to link to it on my home page.)
You know the same Coke machine I do! Go figger!
I think we got about 3 inches last night. I've been handsewing a period correct sewing kit for my hubby's reenacting kit...all handsewn...about 4/5ths done. I've been sewing binding around it this afternoon...
That sounds like one of the coke machines at my college campus...
We had one (and only one) that sold Tab :-).
I have to sew patches on Tom's new Scout shirt this evening, between attacks of baby-feeding.
I only know blanket stitch.
Plus buttons and some rude mending.
I did fix the dog's sweater, after the jealous companion tore it, but it didn't have to pass too close scrutiny to be functional.
I hope I can get some help on my space-suit ...
Why, hello there.
Did someone extend the list of keywords while I was away, or is my screen acting up again?
Scout patches are my big thing these days!
