Day 3: Questioning Continues

This morning, Round 1 concludes with Senators on the Judiciary Cmte. who did not question nominee Alito yesterday. During Round 2, questioning is limited to 20 minutes for each of the eight- een senators. Chairman Arlen Specter (R-PA) leads off, followed by the others, alternating by party in order of seniority.

Who is the chick handing Kennedy papers? She looks like the same woman who was in charge of Kerry's campaign.

Can't remember her name, but Kennedy lent Kerry some of his high-level staff, including probably this woman (I believe Kerry blamed them -- among other -- for his loss).

Alito didn't hesitate...to agree to make the list... Graham better get out in front of this...and somehow work it into his time that he helped coach Alito..that will take the GOTCHA factor away.

Didn't Graham already admit to sitting on a "moot court" panel with Alito in the well? Having his name on a list won't give any more ammunition, it only confirms what has already been admitted. And Alito testified under oath in these hearings that he was not coached in how to answer. IOW, lots of smoke and fury will be generated - needs to be on order to provide cover for some amount of voting against advise & consent.

That's not the point of the shamefulness of Biden's statement. He accuses others of "sophisticated discrimination" and hypocritically mocks/attacks homosexuals with those remarks.

Why should he be "worried" if his son is gay? After all, it's just another equally moral lifestyle to the liberals.

The dems will be trying to nail jello to a tree using spitballs (witnesses) this week and it is just not going to happen.

The highlight was an exchange between Spectre and Kennedy. Kennedy evidently sent a request in the form of a letter (though he said e-mail) for a subpoena for CAP papers at the Library of Congress.

They got into a pissing match over whether or not Spectre recieved the papers, and Spectre smacked Kennedy around a bit telling him that he will not allow him to "take over" the proceedings.

It was sweet!

Feinstein blathered on about Roe again.
